Ryan was at the old, burnt down Hale house with Derek, looking through old books.
"So why didn't you leave with Boyd and Erica," Derek asked her.
"Derek, you warned us about this before we even got the bite. I knew what I was in for," Ryan explained," Plus, I owe you."
"No you don't, this is my fault."
"Derek, I'm not going to fight you on this. I'm staying. Isaac is too."
Boyd and Erica made there way into the Hale house. Ryan was angry at them for leaving. But, she also understood. the Argents were hell bent on having Derek and his whole back killed, and they were not letting up anytime soon.
"So, You decided. When?"
"Tonight," Erica said.
"Everyone's gonna be at the game tonight, we figured it was the best time," Boyd said.
"It's not like we want too," Erica said when she saw the disappointed look on Ryan's face.
"What do you want," asked Derek
"Since I just turned sixteen a month ago, I wouldn't mind getting my license. I can't do that if I'm dead, you know."
"Well I told you there was a price," Derek reminded.
"Yea," said Ryan," A price we all have to pay. Together."
"You didn't say it would be like this," Boyd reasoned.
"Yeah, but I told you how to survive," Derek was getting angry," You do it as a pack. And your not a pack without an alpha."
"We know."
"You want to look for another pack? How are you even going to find one?"
"We already did," Boyd said.
"I'm really disappointed in you guys," Ryan said to the other betas.
"Ryan, please don't make this harder than it has to," Erica said.
"You once told me to figure out where my loyalties lie. Now, you're so quick to abandon us. I got to go, Derek. I promised Isaac that I would meet him at the vet."
Ryan brushed past the two betas in bitter disappointment
