Chapter 14

Cameron POV
Chen and Francis had gone home to change to some new clothes and if you all dont know Francis is already out to his parents and they understood him but they are quiet the busy type both mom and dad always travel due to business but they love him, so thats why he spends most of his time with me. I'm so happy Francis is here whenever I need him. You can't really find a best friend anywhere and anyhow. I dressed into a black pair of trousers and a white long sleeves t-shirt tucked in my trousers very well and appropriately and i also wear a pair of white socks and black shoes. It's really hard to impress Asian parents and since they want to see their son's boyfriend I gotta to impress them with everything I got.
     I check myself using the mirror and I look very good and neat. What to do with my hair. Oh Lord.  It's long hair so I just decided to pack with a thin white rope. I look like a ninja now. A modern ninja. I smile at myself still looking at the mirror. I leave the room and head to the kitchen to help mom set the table for her date and Chen's parents. She sees me and then she smiles a little and suddenly she busts into a very loud laughter. I become angry instantly.
"Oh my God, what and who are you wearing?"
"As you can see, I'm wearing Van Heusena pointing to my white shirt and for the trousers and shoes I don't really know."
"Boy, you look over professional. It's too much. I would think you're an assassin if I didn't know you and you just appeared in front of me out of nowhere."
"Mom, no matter what you say you ain't making me change my clothes because I'm doing it for Chen and his parents. I gotta impress them no matter what."
"Alright, can't wait to see their facial expressions on both my date and Chen's parents in fact everyone?" She says laughing a little bit before she continued.
    As I was about to sit down, a knock came and I ran towards the door and both Francis and Chen standing there looking stunning. They looked way better than me who is the main topic of the day. I hope they don't think Francis is the person Chen is dating.
"Come in, you both look absolutely stunning."
"Thanks Cam, Chen took me for shopping and he bought clothes for the dinner." I look kinda sad that he bought Francis clothes but none for me. They both enter and I close the door and when I turn around Chen and Francis are looking at me disappointed.
"What's wrong?"
"Jesus, what the hell are you wearing Cam?"
Chen asked slightly angry. I feel sad as I look downwards to the floor.
"I thought it's better to dress confidential since I'm meeting your parents for the time and I gotta to impress them since Asian parents are really strict with first choice."
"You change that or no dinner Cam" Chen says looking at me directly in the eyes as I look up immediately.
"But..." I just walk out and run towards my room and close the door shut locking it also. I lie down on my bed.
Can't they see I'm trying to impress Chen's parents but they don't see it that way. Do they think I'm happy wearing this? Oh Lord. If that's what they want. Oh well. I will change my clothes even for the worse. They started this war themselves.

   20 minutes later.
I step in front of my mirror and I'm dress in jeans with a length that stops at my knees ( don't really know what it's called) and red polo shirt and rainbow color socks. I left my hair this time without packing it. Better to show Chen's parents your real self than your fake self. I smile in full confident and I unlock my door and leave my room and step into the living room and everywhere seems neat enough. I go to the dining table and all the foods are placed on the table and I go the kitchen and mom was already dressed as well looking very beautiful in a red straight long gown with silver earrings and necklace. She sees me and smiles.
"What are you wearing?"
"Since you all can't appreciate the way I dressed before I decided to wear this let whoever see my true self because I'm tired okay? No one supported the way I dressed myself but no 'over professional' and 'no dinner' ....
"Is everyone ready?" Francis says stepping the kitchen and interrupting me.
"Uhhhhh. Of course it is. Just waiting for my guests." Mom says. I purposely hit Francis shoulders as I walk pass him.
"What's wrong with him?" Francis asks mom
"I don't know" Mom replies. I then hear a knock on the door and I walk towards the door and open it and I see a man and I think the same age grade with my mom and a young man beside him and they look alike must be his son, must be mom's date. Immediately i smile and they both look at me suspiciously
"Come in," they both walked into the house and another car drops by and two Asian couples comes out of the car. A man and a woman. Oh my gosh. Must be Chen's parents. Oh no. They can't see me right now. I shot the door immediately and run upstairs to my room. Then I hear a knock and I hear the door open and I hear both my mom and Chen's parents discussing before the door closes back. I hear a knock on the door and I open it and see Chen standing looking at me. He looks surprised. I walk past him heading to the kitchen. I see mom, Mom's date and his son, Chen's parents all seated and they all look at me like I'm an alien. I take the seat farthest from them. Then Chen comes and sits next to me. After a while Francis comes with a bottle of wine.
"Francis???" I hear mom's date son say. I look at him then at Francis.
"Henry? What?? Are you?" Francis seems really shocked. I'm just confused so is everybody as well.
"Dad, he is the one I told you about. I met him when I decided to work and we are dating." Henry says. Mom immediately gasps so loud. I'm so shocked and angry at Francis right now, he didn't bother telling me his best friend that he is dating someone. Chen looks at me and wanted to say something but i look the other way. Francis suddenly becomes shy and sits down next to Henry.
"So I want to welcome everyone here and I hope you enjoyed your journey. Before we begin let's start at introducing ourselves starting from you" Mom says looking at me.
"Cameron". Chen looks at me. I look the other way.
"Forgive him please... I'm Chen and this is my boyfriend, Cameron." Chen says. I glare at him
"I'm Samuel and my son, Henry as you may have heard." Mom's date says.
"I'm Florence." Mom says.
"I'm Joon Park and she is my lovely wife, Cheng Park."
   This is so awkward.
"Okay... then I will begin... As you all heard this is Samuel and I'm dating him. My husband passed away and it was really difficult and I met him and he just made my whole world lit up. We are currently dating tho we may not seem the age to date but I'm happy when I'm with him." She says smiling and looking at Samuel.
"Actually,  the reason Samuel came is because of Cameron." Mom says
I turn towards my mom as I'm shocked.
"He came here to get Cameron's permission before we can continue our dating. So Cameron.."
Oh Lord why all this stress and burden on  me. I smile immediately.
"Oh mom.. uhhmm Mr Sa..."
"Just call me Samuel..." Samuel says.
"Samuel... I'm so happy that mom finally met you and I can't oppose or stop my mom from becoming happy when I'm happy also. Actually, I feel kinda happy you came to me but nonetheless thanks. You're free to court mom."
"This is such a blossoming atmosphere." Cheng says holding her palms together.

"Mom, dad. As I told you that I was in love with a black cute guy and that's why I came back and ..."
"Is he Francis??" Cheng asks. I grab onto the table cloth tightly and Chen puts his hand on top of mine.
"I have to use the bathroom.. excuse me." I say standing up and going up to my room.
"Mom, you should have wait and now he is hurt."
"Oh I'm sorry. It's just Francis looked more professional." Cheng says. I go into my room and close the door.
I knew it. It's all about being professional. Suddenly I hear a knock on my door.
"Who..?!!"
"It's me.. Francis."
Oh Lord.
I open the door and walk past him heading back to the dining table and so did Francis as we both sat down.
"As I was saying... He is Cameron and I'm absolutely in love with him."
"Ohhh he is cute and handsome but the hair no no no. Dressing code.... too bad."
"Mom.."
"You asked for our permission right... I'm saying it." I'm just dead right now.
"He is too impatient... I made a mistake and he just left the table. So rude. No respect for elders." I glare at Cheng...
"Omo... see the way he is glaring at me.... is this who you want to marry?? Someone who looks at an elder like this?"
Chen looks at me with a sad face. I just don't do anything and just look at the table .
"I'm sorry Chen but it's a no no. If your partner can't respect me the how will he respect you."
'Is this how he was..." I bang the table. This is just too much. I have never had so much insult in my life before and mom just didn't talk back and defend me. This is so disappointing. I won't be the only one to lose in this battle against his mom.
I look at Chen.
"Let's breakup. I don't think I can join this kind of family that is so rude to people."
"Look Cam..."
"Hold it Chen.. I'm breaking up with ...." then Chen kisses me and I become shocked in front of his mother.
"Look Cam, calm down. It's all a prank."
Then Cheng laughs a little bit.
"What??!!!"
"It's all planned." Chen says smiling a little bit.
"You rude ..." I say then I hug him
"It's such a fool. This is the second time I have been fooled." I say laughing and everyone starts laughing also.
"My parents wanted to see how you would react to all this. We planned all this from the very beginning."
"It's spectacular... I love a future son-in-law who won't back down without a fight. You wanted to break up with Chen and make yourself fill strong in front of Cheng, am i right?" Joon Park asks
"Yes sir.. I never back down because I hate having a loser face."
"You like my acting??" Cheng asks
"Oh yes Ma'am."
Cheng stands up and walks towards me and hugs me
"I'm sorry my child."
"Let's go out everyone. We have a surprise for everyone" Francis says.
Everyone goes out and I see fireworks and Chen goes and lit it and it shots into the sky and blast and it shows
" I LOVE YOU CAMERON"
"That's why I shouted at you... so you would go to your room wouldn't be around when I make it. Just know I wouldn't do anything to make you angry my love."

   "I do hope we can become a great family and I'm so grateful we all met" says Samuel
"Let's Stay together for a very very long time." says Florence. As I look around I see Francis and Henry kissing. And the Chen kisses my lips and hit him lightly on his chest and smile gently and we around look up at the fireworks shooting up in the sky.
