Chapter 7

Cameron POV
   Mayank, Jude and I begin the preparations for the design and it was going just fine. I think even the girls were doing just fine also. I begin to wonder how the relationship with Chen and Francis is going. I'm a little jealous tho. I mean yes I like him a little but that was in middle school before he disappeared and I always wished he would come back and here he is but I'm afraid to speak to him because he is my first crush. I just hope Francis doesn't quit too soon and expose everything because he has a weak mind. I wonder if they're having the date. I better text to find out what is going on. I drop the fabric I was cutting and bring out my phone and text him.
"HOW'S THE DATE GOING?"
"HE JUST LEFT FOR BUSINESS RIGHT NOW"
"HOW ARE YOU DOING? I KNOW I'M REALLY JUST STRESSING YOU BUT THANKS FOR IT ANYWAY"
"WE GOTTA TO TALK CAM. IT'S URGENT. LET'S MEET AFTER YOUR WORK."
"OH ALRIGHT"
I put back my phone in my pocket and I wonder what could be wrong? Is he tired of impersonating me? That can wait I gotta work right now. I continue with my work with Mayank and Jude.
    It was 8;00pm and it was still half done and Steve enters the office and tells everyone to go home for the day because it's already late. We all arrange back our stuff and get our things and leave the company. I take a taxi heading back home to meet Francis since he told me he is already at my house. I arrive at my house and I notice mom isn't around already. and I rush to my room and I see Francis sitting on my bed holding his phone and he looks like he is contemplating on something. I walk into the room and he looks up at me and smile. I walk into the room and sit beside him.
" Hey what's wrong? When I saw your message it looked like something is wrong? Did anything happen?"
"No it's just that I'm tired of all this. I think he loves you Cam. I can't do this."
"He loves me but that's..."
"It's possible Cam. I know I didn't tell you but he almost kissed me the other day but I quickly turned away but he still kissed my cheek and I'm .."
"Wait he almost kissed you? Does he want to be in that kind of relationship?"
"And I think I also like him. I'm falling for him Cam. So I don't want to continue because I can't date the man you love." Francis says holding my two hands.
"So please tell him you're the real Cameron okay? If you want I can follow you."
"But why are you so scared of all this? It's not forever it's just for some time"
"Look no matter what I can't continue, you gotta do it." Francis stands up ready to leave the house but I stand up and hold his hands.
"Look Francis, I don't know the reason you're so hostile about this but please I beg you please just continue for me just for three days and then I will personally tell him please."
"Cam I'm sorry I can't" he says wanting to walk but I immediately kneel down.
"Please Francis. Okay just two days and I will do it. Please". He looks back and sees me kneeling down and immediately he also kneels down and hugs me.
"Please don't do this. Okay I will do it but don't do this again. Don't kneel again okay? What if your mom sees this? I don't know why we are so emotional today?" Francis says laughing and after some minutes I join him in laughing also. We both stand up and lie on the bed because I know we are both exhausted from what just happened. We both stay on the bed in silence and I just close my eyes and slept off.
 
        I move my left arm and feel nothing. I open my eye and notice Francis wasn't on the bed. Maybe he left already. I stand up from the bed and walk into the bathroom to do my morning routine. I come out and dress into jeans and a red polo. I carry my bag and walks towards my mom's room to find out if she is around. I knock and open the door but I see her nowhere. It seems like she hasn't come back since yesterday. I don't really have the appetite to eat anything so I just wear my shoes and leave the house, locking it and keeping the key under the door entrance. I enter a taxi and first stop at the coffee restaurant. I enter the coffee restaurant and buy an Americano coffee and as I turn around I see Chen coming into the coffee restaurant and walking towards me. I was surprised to see him and I just continue walking and he clearly sees me and as I was about to pass me he stops me by holding my arm. My heart rates just starts beating so hard.
"Wait for me right there" he says pointing to a particular table by the window.
"O..Okay Mr Lay"
I walk to the place while he goes to buy this coffee. I sit down and wait for him patiently. He comes later and sits down in front of me. Does he want to say anything to me? I wonder why he called me?
"You must be wondering why I decided to meet you right?
"Yes sir."
"Well, i am going on a fashion show and you are going to accompany me"
"Sir but I'm in the competition you made I just can't leave."
"Well Jude and Mayank are there to continue. I believe the drawing is ready?"
"Yes Mr Lay." I say then sipping my coffee
"Then they can do the rest on their own and you are coming with me right now. But we will first go to the company so that I can get some of my stuffs ready." He stands up and moves but I'm still sitting there drinking my coffee.
"What are you doing there? Get up let's move I don't have time to waste. I hate sluggish things." He walks out and I stand up and follow immediately. Can't he just be gentle with his words I'm also a human being. We enter the company and he goes to his office while I meet up with Jude and Mayank.
"I'm sorry I'm so late. I'm going for a fashion show with Mr Lay. I tried explaining to him what we are doing but he insisted so I gotta go"
"Well nothing to do. Since its Mr Lay order you gotta do it and we can cope here. It's almost finished anyway." says Mayank.
"Okay. Thank you guys"
"Hey Uhm what's your name? " Asks Chen coming out of his office.
"I.. its Francis."
"Alright, Francis lets go."
I follow him and we come out of the company. And a car drives in front of us and a driver comes out of the car and gave the car keys to Chen and he collects it and gives it to me.
"I can't drive so you drive." He opens the door and sits at the back seat. Thank goodness I took some driving lessons and I have driver's license. I enter the car and begin driving towards the place where the fashion show is being held.
