Chapter 5

Francis POV
It was getting late and I know Cameron will already be at home waiting for me. I look at my wristwatch and it's 6:30pm. We went to the cinema to watch a movie. I really couldn't concentrate because of that kiss, anytime I think about it my heart races faster. The movie finally ended and I think it was a tragedy. Lay and I stand up and exit the cinema. We walk to the car park and we enter his car.
"I hope you enjoyed the movie though it was a tragedy." He says looking at me smiling.
"Yeah, it was kinda nice." I wait a little bit then he starts the car. "Uhm Chen, you know I have never been in a relationship before and we just met like after seventeen years, I'm just confused."
"I know you will be scared or confused but trust me I won't let you down. We are gonna rekindle that flame of our friendship then our relationship can blossom more" he says looking at me smiling then touches my hair. He then begins driving the car.

I direct him the way to my house and he drops me off and was about to drive off then he stops and moves back. He whines the glass down.
"Your phone number? You know we always use Facebook." He says bringing out his phone from his shirt pocket and giving it to me. What should I do? Do I write my mobile number or Cameron's phone number? Okay I will write mine for easy... whatever. I type my phone number in his phone and give it back to him. He takes the phone and I think he saves it then he drops the phone in his pocket and waves bye and drives off. After looking at his car until it disappears from my sight, I rush immediately to Cameron's house.
I arrive at Cameron's house and I begin ringing the doorbell multiple times and I hear footsteps. Cameron opens the door and I enter the house. He closes the door and grabs my hand dragging me upstairs to his room. We enter the room and he closes the door. I sit on his bed.
"So tell me what happened? This is 7:20..." Cameron says looking at his wrist watch and back at me "so something should have happened since 12:00.." Uhm what should I say that we dating and he almost kissed me,but I know Cameron has a crush on Chen but I think I..
"Hey what are you thinking about, tell me?"
"Uhh uh. Nothing we just went on dates like the coffee restaurant then the park and a cinema."
"Oh It seems just like a normal long time no see friendship. You know? You okay you seem so distant." Cameron says tapping my back.
"Oh I'm okay. Can I sleep over? I'm too tired to walk back home?"
"Sure". I'll be back in a minute. Cameron's stand up and leaves the room. I strip off the jeans and remove the Cameron's phone from the pocket and keep it on his desk and keep the jeans on the chair and just lie down on the bed and just closes my eyes then my phone starts ringing, I know because it's my ring tone. I sit up immediately and start searching for it and I saw it on his laptop on his desk. I take it and I see a number, it must be Chen. I answer it.
"HELLO"
"HEY CAMERON IS THAT YOU?"
"YES, CHEN?"
"YES, I HOPE YOU ENJOYED OUR DATE TODAY?"
"YES OF COURSE. I ENJOYED IT" I SAY SMILING A BIT.
"OKAY, I CALLED TO TELL YOU GOODNIGHT SO GOODNIGHT CAMERON"
"KAY GOODNIGHT.."
"Who are you talking to?" Asked Cameron standing right in front of the door. Immediately i cut the call and hold the phone in my palms tightly. Then he walks in and keeps his cup of juice on his desk and sits on his chair and faces me.
"Uhm it was.. It was Uhm. Mom. Yes my mom. She was asking where I was so I told her"
"Okay, I bet you're tired so go to sleep."
"Yeah. Goodnight Cameron" I then yawned and close my eye.

Cameron's POV.
Francis must have been really tired from the date. Oh well. I have a competition and I must make my group win. We opened a Line group chat for just Mayank, Jude and I but there's another in which everyone is in. But in this case we had to open just for three of us. Tomorrow is the day Jude and I buy the cloths for or outfit while Mayank buys the accessories. Chen, by the way, I know I have to confess soon because Francis can't always be there for me. Well when the time comes. I'm actually feeling sleep and tomorrow is gonna be a busy day so I gotta go to sleep early. I drink my juice in one gulp and I go to my bed and lie down and close my eyes.
I wake up and I look at my table clock on my desk and it's 6:00am. I look by my left and it seems Francis is still sleeping. I stand up and do my morning routines. I dress up and arrange my stuffs for today. The earlier the better so I gotta go to the office early today. It's 6:30am by the time I'm ready to go to the office. I shake Francis a little and he wakes up and I tell him i have gone to work. I leave the house and take a taxi to Ahart. I arrive in 10 minutes since there isn't any traffic. I enter the company and I enter the elevator this time amd then Lay enters as well. He isn't smiling, or he doesn't smile at all. I gotta ask Francis if he smiles when with him when I get back home. The elevator stops at our floor and the door opens and we both walk out and I keep walking in front.
"Hey watch where your going"
"Eh?" I ask looking backwards at him
Then I realize I just match a banana peel and I almost fall but suddenly Lay catches my wrist and drags me towards him and I hold his waist and my chest hits his body. My heart is racing so fast and I'm still holding unto him. Then my childhood memories keep flocking back into my brain when I was in very high place and I was alone crying and a small step taken mistakenly, I could fall. I start breathing fast and tears starting falling out of my eyes and I just close my eyes and faint.
