The Dragon's Heart

Chapter 4

     Soph sat in her living room with some shorts on and a long shirt. She had made herself some coffee and she sat watching tv as she watched the news on tv. She wasn't expecting to see a story about the party last night.
     "Reports say that last night a man crashed a teenage party last night. Most of the kids there were drinking and were intoxicated." The reporter stared at the camera as if she was talking to Soph personally. "Eye witnesses say that after allegedly assaulting the home owner's son, the man dragged a girl by the name of Soph Evermore away from the party. Here's one such eye witness that says he saw the man that stopped the party." The camera changes to another reporter standing near the house with a girl from Soph's class.
     "Thank you Caren. I'm here with Jackie Turner and she says that she saw the man that had apparently beaten the boy who's parents owned the beach house and dragged Soph Evermore away." He turns and looks at Jackie and smiles. "Can you please describe the man?" Soph stares at the tv in shock as she almost drops her coffee.
     "Yes. I can." Jackie began. "He was about 6'2" or 6'4" and he had this kinda long white hair. And he had these really blue eyes and it almost looked like he had contacts in cause his eyes looked kinda like a lizard's. But anyway, Derek was about to kick him out when the guy punched him! Then he grabbed Soph and ran!" The reporter turns and looks back at the camera.
     "There ya have it fo-" He's cut off by Soph as she turns off the tv. She stares at the tv in pure shock.
     "Derek... you shithead."
