I Wanna Be Yours, (Phan)[COMPLETE]

Phil's phone vibrated at 4am, halfway through Misery Business and halfway through his imagined WWE school cafeteria cage match with Rachel over Dan's affections. The idea was nice, but far from actuality. Rachel could probably scratch him to death with her long manicured nails.

danisnotonfire: i'm sososososoooooo sorry lion i didn't forget to text you, i just lost track of the time, dealing with rachel... :( are you still awake?

Phil swallowed down the lump in his throat. It was taking shear will power not to give in and reply with forgiveness on this lonely night. Nights like this in which Dan would stay up and talk with him all night.

Phil wracked his tired brain for a witty reply.

danisnotonfire: i know you saw my text :/ are you mad?

danisnotonfire: pls let me explain ? :/

Phil waited 5 more minutes for Dan's next text. He just didn't know what to say.

danisnotonfire: i was skyping with rachel. im trying to leave us on better terms, to stay friends. you know I hate drama and she's the queen of it. i lost track of time and didn't have my phone near me to see your text. i didn't stand you up on purpose lion i swear :/

Phil thought about Dan's joyful laugh and carelessness when he was skyping Rachel. It made him jealous, yes, but he knew he had no right to be. They were only pen pals, nothing more. What hurt him the most was her ability to make Dan look so relaxed and carefree. All the times Dan had mentioned her to Phil, he always seemed like he wasn't completely happy, there was always something outweighing the good between them. Had dan lied? Was he playing Phil to win his heart, meet him, and stomp all over it for fun? No, Dan would never do that.

At least his story matched up with what Phil had witnessed.

danisnotonfire: r u sure?

AmazingLion: I'm sure, just don't do it again, pls?

danisnotonfire: of course. i promise, and to make it up to you im all yours for the rest of the night/morning :)

AmazingLion: hmm Not sure if that's a punishment or a reward :o

AmazingLion: Ugh you're still using that face?

danisnotonfire: sometimes i just can't think of a better face to use.

AmazingLion: Oh no. If it's some meme thing again I swear....

danisnotonfire: well you know how I'm going to the halloween dance with my friends? i was wondering if you were planning to go.

AmazingLion: A friend of mine is trying to make me go, but it's not really my scene.

danisnotonfire: pls come lion. it'll be a costume party so you don't even have to reveal who you are. i want to meet you in person and i already told you no matter who you are i will like you. we've been through so much together, i would never judge you lion.

"Yeah, but I'm not a woman." Phil whispered to himself. Somehow hearing himself say it out loud made him feel even worse.
