"He's been cheating on me with Phil Lester?!"

Emily winced as Rachel nearly snapped her lip liner in rage.

"I mean, you're not technically together."

"But this has had to be happening for a while! And he left me for some punk? Even worse, a guy?! I'll be the laughing stock of the school if this gets out!" Rachel locked the school's bathroom door and began to pace. Emily could practically see the fiery smoke raging from her ears.

"We need to do something...something that will make me look like the victim. Everyone will feel sorry for me and I'll surpass Dan in popularity. Then Dan will come crawling back to me and beg me to take him back. He'll see the error of his ways and Phil will be the only person left for anyone to laugh at. That no good whore will get what he deserves!"

"Well the rally is coming up. It's mandatory so the entire school will be there. We can preform a little play that outs the both of them." Emily smirked.

"Emily that's genius!" Rachel squealed, hugging her best friend.

"Come on, we need to get the team together to practice." Emily smiled, grabbing Rachel's hand and running out of the bathrooms.

Phil decided today would be the day he came forward to Dan. It had already been a week since the dance. He figured if he told him in private dan wouldn't be so influenced by his friends. At least he hoped so.

He just needed to get this off his chest and if Dan decided he didn't want him then he always had PJ's shoulder to cry on and sad songs to play on his guitar.

After the rally, he would tell him.

Phil took a seat next to PJ and his other band mates whom he wasn't as close to as PJ was.

They all kept their punk aesthetics and feigned interest in the school's activities. Phil wished he could play with his phone or text dan, but sadly his clumsy ways ruined that for him. He wondered if dan would think he's been ignoring him. He hoped not.

"And now for the final activity of the day! A performance by the cheerleading team!"

Phil watched as Rachel took the mic and began narrating what looked like a crappy, poorly rehearsed, school play.

"There once was a handsome prince with a beautiful girlfriend." A cheerleader dressed in a football uniform resembling Dan's walked out, taking the hand of a cheerleader dressed in her own uniform and kissing it.

"The prince was loved by everyone, even the peasants; he had the perfect life. He had the money, the fame, the hot girlfriend, he was even captain of the football team, yet, he still wasn't happy."

"Oh no." Phil whispered to himself.

The cheerleader in the football uniform was offered a bag of money, and screaming fans, but she turned them all down and walked away, to the front of the stage, looking sad.

"No,because even with all that he could ever possibly want, he was sad. He yearned for the love of another."

The cheerleader in the football uniform looked up at the audience, dramatically clutching at her chest.

"One night, after the spoiled, backstabbing, jerk of a prince ditches his loving girlfriend, he finally meets his true princess...or should I say prince."

Phil's breathing grew heavier and Pj supportively squeezed his hand.

The football player girl pulls a cheerleader dressed in skinny jeans, a band tee, smoky black eyeliner, and a blue fringe.

"Except he wasn't his prince in shining armor, no. The slut that seduced the prince was just a low-life punk; a nobody, a servant boy in a band with no future." She continued.

"And who may you ask was this emo punk? Well Phil Lester of course. The gay kid who plays crappy music in a club for a living and turns up drunk or high to class on a regular basis. He's not a prince at all, just a peasant who goes around stealing boyfriends," Rachel smirked, locking eyes with Phil.

"Okay we need to leave." PJ muttered as everyone's heads turned to them.

Phil looked down and caught Dan's gaze. He looked hurt, embarrassed, disappointed, but even worse, he looked disgusted. He turned away and Phil fought back a sob. Pj quickly rushed him out, telling his band mates to stay behind as he would take care of him.

Once they were back in the halls, Phil shrugged out of PJ's grasp and began to run away.

"Phil! Wait up!" PJ called as he ran after him.

Phil continued to run and run until he reached the wooded area behind the school. He gasped for air and rubbed at his tear-soaked eyes.

"Phil!" Pj placed his hands on his knees, gasping for air.

"I can't go back Pj just leave me alone." Phil cried.

"You're going to have to come back at some point, you are barely on track to graduate, Phil." Pj scolded.

"I don't care. You saw how he looked at me. I can't Peej please don't make me go back." Phil hiccuped as his tears continued to run down his face.

Pj sighed and wrapped Phil in his arms. He sat him down on a large fallen log and let him cry on his shoulder.

"Lion-"

"-please don't call me that."

"Phil..." pj corrected. "Let's go to my car, I wanna take you somewhere."

Phil could only half-heartedly nod as he stood up, being supported by Pj. They walked to PJ's car and drove off.
