Anna open up the curtains and said "Rise and shine! Wake up now Diana. Breakfast will be ready in ten minutes"
"Uh, I'm still sleepy..."
"I'm sorry my lady but a Princess must...." as Anna was saying Diana added
"NEVER BE LATE! I know, I know" she get up and look at Anna
"Anna, I'll meet you in the garden..."
"Garden?! But your breakfast is in the dinning area..."
"No, I want it in the garden, beside its a good day to eat outside, don't you think?" she snaps
"Okay. It'll be ready when you get out of the room"
"Thanks!" She smiles
When Anna get out of the room. Diana hurry over to take a shower and dressed. She wears the dress her Father give to her on her birthday. A pink with gold laced on the skirt. A simple dress. The moment she's finish she closes her door and headed over to the garden.
"There you are! Come sit, the cook made your favourites" Anna said
"Oohh...bacon and eggs with toasted french butter bread, how lovely" Diana said "It looks like all of you know me, thank you" she smiles
"So what would you today?" Anna asked
"Let's see..." Diana thinks and looked at the horse "I'll go horse riding and read a book at the library after that"
"Nice choice. Get the horse ready for Princess Diana..." Anna shouts
"Anna, you're doing it again" Diana snaps
"What? Oh?! I'm sorry"
"It's fine, but please remember not to add "Princess" in Diana..."
"Okay, I'll remember. Better eat your breakfast"
After Diana finished eating her breakfast. She went back to her room and changes into her riding clothes. She walk quickly to the stable seeing her horse ready. She gives her horse, Apple, a nice pat on her name and rides in
"Be careful, Diana..." Anna said
"I'm fine, she's my horse, besides she won't let anything happen to me, right Apple?"
With that she rides her horse around the horse field
"It looks like you're crying here..." Aflred said giving his handkerchief
"Oh, Alfred, thank you" Anna said
"You remember Queen Annabelle right?" he ask
"Yes, Diana looks like her a lot...Skin white as snow, brown eyes look like gold when touches by the sun, lips as red as blood, and hair as gold as the sun...no wonder that she is like Queen Annabelle"
"Yes, and in a month she'll be 18 and inherent the throne, did I mention to her that she's gonna have a ball at the castle"
"Castle, you mean she's going home..." Alfred asked
"Yes, I wonder if she can take care of herself at the ball"
Suddenly, Diana showed up and ask: "Why so deep talk?"
"Oh, Diana, it's nothing"
"Wait, are you crying?" she asked
"No, I'm not crying. Uhm...Diana, can you cancel your book reading, your Father called and you are getting to vist him..."
"Visit, Papa? I would love to..." Diana said happily "But what should I wear? Should I wear a gown or usual clothes or formal dress..."
"You can just wear your usual clothes, and Princess Geneveive is going to fetch you"
"Really, then I better get ready" Diana said and get off to Apple
"What time would she arrive, Anna?"
"9:00 sharp, Diana and it's...oh no...you barely got 30 minutes to get ready!"
"What?! 30 minutes, oh no, I must hurry!" Diana rushes to her room and so is Anna her nursemaid, and the others. Anna helped Diana get changed and the others to packed, by the time Genevieve arrived...
"Alfred, where's Diana?" she ask
"Preparing my lady"
"Preparing?"
Suddenly Princess Diana shows up and said "I'm here! Sorry"
"You're quite late Diana, remember...." As Genevieve said,Diana added
"A Princess must Never Be Late! I know I'm sorry"
"Because of a book?" Genevieve ask
"Yeah...its a new book Papa sent to me, so I have to read!"
Genevieve laughs and said
"Well we must be going now.Papa would be angry if we don't come in time. Joe can you drive now?"
"Yes, your majesty. " the driver said
"Anna, sorry for the late notice"
"Oh, Genevieve, its alright. Anna's coming with us, right?"
Anna was beside Diana. Diana can't do anything without Anna. She'll be clumsy and do ything upside-down, but Anna thought that that might be a good experience
"I'm sorry my lady, I can't go I have to stay here to maintain the castle"
"Oh...guess this is the first I'll be seperated from you..." Diana said sadly
"Don't worry my lady, Princess Genevieve will take care of you, so fear not"
"OK!" Diana smiles
The gates are opened and the driver drives outside. When they get outside, Diana was suprised how the outside looks beautiful and thinks about her freedom, then a lightbulb came she can ask her Father to ask for a freedom just for a day NO maybe 3 days, besides she's been wanting it.
"So Diana, are you excited?" Genevieve asked
"YES! Very Excited! Uhm...Genevieve"
"Yes?"
"I want to ask for your opinion"
"For what?"
"You see when I'm still a child, I always wonder how to become free and found true love, so do you think Papa will agree if I ask for his permission to let me be free..."
"A wonderful idea Diana, but I don't think Papa will agreed to that, but in my heart I support you"
Diana thanked her sister, as she lean on the window and stare at Genevieve, she wonders that Genevieve is so lucky to live with the King, she can do what she wants to getting out and enter the Palace with the Kings permission and here Diana set to a farway land where only few people know about her, growing up reading books and study when only her Father and Sister visit her twice a month, she wonders...can her wish be ever be true.
As they arrived in Llandaron, Diana see preparations and ask Genevieve
"What are the people doing?"
"Oh you mean the festival? the people are preparing for the festival tomorrow and for the ball Papa prepared for you"
"I see"
As Diana stare at the people, the people look happy and care giving and Diana wonders, will she be able to fit in?
