Chapter Seven: The meaning of Love

When Dan and I are eating breakfast, we are in the mood of awkwardness. I'm still not getting over what happened yesterday, then Dan said "Diana, about yesterday..." "What-What happened yesterday?" I said, I'm so nervous and I don't dare to talk about it, but Dan's face was shocked.

I'm glad she forgot about it, or else I'm not gonna sleep for a while. "Diana, why don't we eat lunch at the river today?" I ask "Sure, why not, but is it fine?" she ask "It's fine...besides you must get some fresh air too, right?" I said then Diana ask "Okay, what do you want me to prepare for?" I'm having thoughts, but since Diana's been cooking and preparing food for the both of us maybe it's my turn to prepare something, "No, it's fine I'll go prepare our lunch" "Really? it's fine if I just..." I stopped what she's saying and I said "No, it's my turn now, think of this as my reward for all your prepared for us, and don't you DARE underestimate me!" I said and Diana laughs and said okay.

As I was preparing our lunch, Diana was at the stable with Apple Jack and Dylan, it seems she's reading a book, now that I think about it, I only give her a one book, maybe she's reading it again, I'll just go buy her a book again this afternoon and better check those guys. As I finished preparing the food, though I only make sandwiches, I was thinking of a picnic besides she love picnics right? Now it's time to go find the basket and a blanket. When I found them, I called Diana many times, but she isn't answering, so I checked on her and found her sleeping. "Jeez...". I wake up Diana, and now I remember the first time I wake up her, how funny, but she do look peaceful when she's sleeping, her face is like an angels and her lips are...I snapped and what am I thinking? get over with it Dan.

"Hmm...Dan?" Diana said when she's waking up. "Diana, finally you're awake I've been calling you for some time, oh and the lunch is ready, so go and ride Apple Jack now." Dan went inside and get our lunch, and me I rode in Apple Jack. When we reached the river, it's like I get back in my home, now this is more like my garden, though there's not a river but a fish pond. We lay down the blanket and the picnic basket.

It feels so good with nature again! then Dan asked me "How was is it?" "It's good! You're a wonderful cook!" I said then Dan said "Only when come to BLT sandwich, I've always liked these since I was child" "And eating it with Genevieve, must be good too!" I said. Dan didn't say anything and turned back from me.

I wonder if he still liked Genevieve. Well since they grow up together, maybe he still loved her, so I better think of something to get him confess to Genevieve, oh I know! oh yeah if I do that I'll be just...NO! I have to do it even if it cost me to be sad...

"Dan, you still loved Genevieve right?" I ask then Dan turned to me and said "Why did Genevieve become our topic?" "Do you still loved her?" I continued to ask "Yeah..." he said while scratching his head "Why?" "I have a plan, in a while can you deliver letter?" I said, he said fine. I picked a paper and a pen then write something, after I'm finished I give it to Dan and said Please hurry and don't ever try peeking at it! I'll go home now and take of the rest! Then Dan said Okay and headed downtown, me on the other hand headed to the cottage and prepare the dinner!

At the castle...

"Dan? What are you doing here?" Genevieve ask "Well it's about her..." Dan whispered Genevieve offered Dan to come in and Dan said "Here, she wants me to deliver this to you privately..." "A letter? but why?" she ask "Well, I better go back now, I don't know what will happen at the cottage, sorry..." he said then he opened the door. When Dan get outside he walked into a man, it's a Prince and entered Genevieve's room. "I see..." Genevieve said "Oh Edward!" she said trying to hide the letter. "Did you receive any news?" he ask "Yeah, she's fine" she whispered "Genevieve, please tell me where she is I must check her myself" he said "You mean you don't trust me?" she ask "No, I didn't mean it that way.." he said "Well sorry Edward it's enough you know what's she's doing, but I'm not telling you where she was! and that's FINAL!" she said

Dan rode his horse and looking at anywhere, he get straightforward to the mountain without getting notice. When he was going to the cottage, he saw the river decorate beautifully and he saw Diana waving. "Surprise?" she ask "What's this" Dan asked "Well it's for you and Genevieve..." she said "What? Why?" he continued to ask "Well this is your chance to confess to Genevieve, go prepared now!" she said. Dan said "WHAT?!" but Diana never listen, so Dan prepared himself and when Genevieve arrived Diana said "Well I must be going now...good luck!" after Diana said that he wave at Genevieve and ride Apple Jack.

"Wow! I'm impressed, I don't know that your romantic..." Genevieve said "No...it's Diana's idea, please sit" Dan offered Genevieve to sit as he was saying, and they start to have a conversation and when Dan find the time to confess he said "Genevieve, there's something I have to tell you..." he looked at Genevieve's eyes and said "Genevieve, when we grow up and begin to understand the world I begin to like you no I LOVE YOU!, but now...." he didn't say any word and Genevieve said "I know all your feelings from the start, Dan, it's always written from your face, but you know I can't return your feeling, I've already fallen from someone and I know that you loved Diana now, so I she must be sad when she's doing this, go now and comfort her..." "What about you?" he ask "Don't worry I have someone to escort me back." she said

Dan ride his horse and he orders him to run, and they their are running as fast as they could.

"I wouldn't dare you follow Dan, if I am you" Genevieve said "I knew that you've been following me from the start..." "You caught me, but how do you know that I was following you?" Prince Edward asked "Let's say it's a secret, for now why don't you escort me back home..." she said

Diana I've been a jerk from the start and from the moment I met you my life change. Genevieve's not the right lady for me, it's you I was searching for. From the moment I kissed you, no from the moment I met you I've loved you, today I'll tell you. When they arrived, Dan rushed inside and find Diana and she said "So how it go?..." as she was saying Dan suddenly hugged her and said "I LOVE YOU!" Diana was shocked but she said "Did she dumped you or something?" "No and No...I LOVE YOU! from the moment I met you and when we kissed I realized that I always loved you and I KNOW that you also loved me..." he said and Diana felt like melting and knee down and said "Am I dreaming?" "No, you're not..." he said "Give me your right hand..." I give him my right hand and Dan put a ring in my ringed finger, I was shocked yet happy and I said "I love you too..." when I said that, Dan kissed me a carried me to the bedroom.

It looks like my dream of finding a TRUE LOVE came true...
