Me and my mom reached the school after about an hour of walking. We had left dad to start on the house. Both of us entered and spotted the desk lady and two boys.
One was leaning over the desk, smirking at the lady.
Creep!
I listened closely and could hear what one was saying. "Come on Litti," he whined like a dog. "Please excuse us for the hike. Our al-" his ear twitched really weird. He looked over at me and my mother.
We all sat there in silence for a few moments before the girl at the desk stood up.
"Look, boys! You're not getting out of this class just to go on a hike. You'll have to wait until the day is over, now go home," she growled clenching her teeth!
The boys walked out and me and my mother were left alone.
"Good riddance," the girl says then perks up seeing me and my mother. "Oh... Oh! Hello, there dears what can I help you with anything," she says in a more cheery voice.
"Wow. She must really hate those boys! She yelled at them so fast and so mean," Cherry says in the back of my mind.
"Ya, that was weird," I respond with, to Cherry.
I pay more attention to my mom and see her pulling out paperwork from her purse. She hands it to the lady.
The lady starts typing and looks at me halfway through. "May I have your first and last name, plus date of birth please," she asked smiling?
"Oh! Me," I was a little zoned out still. "I'm Arie Rain, my birth date is December 28, 1999," I said smiling back at her.
My hands fidgeted and I felt a little restless. I was getting ready for a long walk.
Quickly I pulled out my phone and typed. "Mom, I'm heading out for a jog, can you handle this?"
My mom's phone blinged and she pulled it out, nodding a little as she read it.
I rushed out the door and headed for a forest area I saw on the walk here.
I started my jog toward the forest. When I reached the forest line I sprinted and leaped turning into a cheetah.
I landed on the ground and stood tall my chest puffed out.
Good to be a cat!
I stopped and turned looking around. Time to go for a jog.
I pace forward through the grassy land. Trees above my head swaying.
~~°°~~
I walked through the forest and my paws locked as I paced. I listen to the sound of a rushing water in front of me. A line of thick brush was protecting my sight from any waterfalls.
I pushed through and stopped face to face with the girl from earlier.
She was laid back in a panic state, her eyes wide, and her jaw dropped. "Farris... Farris," she cried scrambling to her feet.
I just stood there in the brush, only my head sticking out.
Well crap. This is gonna suck when they tell the cops!
I watched someone get out of the water and look at me.
"What's that," he asked then got closer? "Holy shit!" He launched forward and grabbed the girl. "Lilly get back!"
Lilly did and ran toward the water. Bad move, I love water. Though I wouldn't hurt them.
The boy; Farris walked forward and reached his hand out. "Hey there... Monster cheetah," he said in a sort of sweet tone.
"Oh god he's 'purr'fect," Cherry purrs to me.
I shake her off for the moment and step out. I didn't want to seem hostile but at the same time didn't want to be tame toward him. I let out an odd low growl.
Farris moved back a little and pulled away from my hand. "Oh ok. No hand, that's cool," he said standing up.
I got uneasy and lowered down to the ground. I had just made it awkward. I stepped out and didn't know what to do so I sat down.
"Ok Cherry what should I do," I asked to my companion?
Its silent for a few moments before she spoke. "Oh now your here, anyway sweetie you're doing terrible at being a cheetah. Let me help, find a tree and mark it," she said in a calm tone.
"What," I asked startled that she thought I would pee on a tree?
"Scratch it," she hissed!
I snapped out of it when I felt something brush my head. I looked to see Farris petting my head and ears.
Wow. I guess I blew!
Lilly was now sitting by a tree. "That cat is so weird there. She was all zoned out," she says.
I glared at her and she stiffens up. I stand and Farris moves back. Lilly shoots up in fear and grips a branch.
Wow
I walk over to a tree and claw it. Pieces break off and after a little bit and step down. I felt stupid.
I stepped over to the waterfall and flicked my tail looking back at Farris and Lilly. Lilly was still up against the tree, but Farris was moving closer.
"You like swimming," he asked? Then got closer.
At this point, I wanted to mess with him. I nodded and stepped in. Though I can't swim so I didn't go far.
Farris also gets in and swims around me. He laughed and splashes me.
I shake off and bound toward him. I make sure not to dive too deep.
"Be careful," Cherry says.
"I know."
I take another step and look at him. He is floating close to me.
"Come on Lilly she isn't harmful. If she was she would have hurt us by now," he said then smiled and splashed me again.
I let out a weird roar and moved a little closer. Suddenly the rocks below slid out and I was in deep water. I struggled to keep afloat and moved further toward Farris on accident. I yowled like a real cheetah and my head went under. I made my way back up and spotted Farris rushing over.
He wraps his arms around me and lifts me up so I could breathe. I struggle a little and feel his skin as I tear it. Farris yells and we both get out of the water.
Farris sits on the river holding his wound. "Augh," he yells and looks down at him bleeding side!
What do I do! What did I do...
Lilly runs over and suddenly smacks me with a branch that she had picked up.
I plop down in my spot and watch her help him to a sitting position.
Farris lifted his shirt and looked at the wound. A deep cut ran along his ribs. He touched his wound and cringed.
I pinned my ears and looked at them.
Lilly suddenly sighed. "Good your healing," she said and looked at me. "No thanks to you! Leave you monster!"
I lower my head.
Well crap.
Farris laughs "Lilly stop yelling at that poor cat! I'm fine," he says and lowers his shirt.
I turn and walk away, after I get through the brush again I here something behind me. There following me!
I take off into my fast sprint and race away like a car. I make it to the edge of the forest and turn human then head home.
