I feel my shoulder blades roll as I lift my backpack further on my shoulder. That Monday I had decided to walk. My parents weren't home so no one could tell me no.
The sound of an engine sounded behind me and I got the chills. I knew it was the group so I took off at an inhuman speed. I raced into the tree line and disappeared from the sight.
As they passed I could see their expressions. All of them had a pure expression of fear.
Once they were out of sight I emerged from the bushes.
I looked at the road and then down at my phone. I had thirty minutes to get to school. I sighed and started to jog, my bag bounced up and down.
I got the school with fifteen minutes left.
My heart was still very calm for me almost running the whole way. I looked around to see a lot of eyes on me.
I really hope this is cause I didn't show with the others.
I walked into school my heart racing and my body a little submissive.
I got to my locker and opened it with the usual twelve, four, twelve. When I open it there was a letter sitting on the bottom of it. I pick it up and slid it into my backpacks pocket. Then I swung my bag onto the ground and open it.
Then I place a couple books in the locker and swing it shut.
I stand up and turn suddenly Sabrina was behind me.
"Look it's like- the heartbreaker showed up," she growled! She stormed up to me and I didn't move. When she gets close enough she comments. "Someone grew some balls."
I raise my hand and slap her. As I do I get a memory flash of when Farris slapped the girl when they were young.
I picked up my bag and walk away heading into the bathroom. Only one person followed. Lilly.
~~Lilly's POV~~
I looked at Sabrina my blood boiling. Crystal made a growling noise.
"Easy," I tell my wolf.
"Don't worry they'll have to make the first move," she responded.
I walked forward and stood among the growing crowd. People must have heard about what had happened. That included Sabrina.
A loud noise sounded out and echoed. Arie had slapped Sabrina in the face. It went quiet and soon people started parting.
After a moment I caught a glimpse of Arie heading toward the restroom.
People watched as she disappears and soon they all moved on and went on with their morning.
Then I jog toward the restroom. I get to the entrance and smell that Arie went to the end row.
"Arie," I ask walking down the rows very slowly. I hear a sound and it's a sniffle. I see her boots under the stall and I sit down leaning on the wall next to her.
"Yes," she sniffled.
She had no hostility to her tone. She sounded, afraid.
"What happened. Are you ok," I said moving closer but she moved away in the stall. So I stopped.
"Are-are all of you wolves. The whole town I mean," she said, her voice quivering.
I thought about it. A fair amount of the town was, but at least ten to twenty was human.
"No, there is still a couple of humans around this town," I told her.
Suddenly it goes quiet, I took that as my time to leave.
I stood up and waited a moment before saying "ok, you know where to find me."
I walk off and leave the restroom. I step out and hear someone on an open Connect.
'Where,' someone said.
'Her house tonight, my friend made sure her parents won't be home,' someone else said.
I looked around and spot a couple of guys sitting at a table. Clouse happened to be one of them. He was born and raised in my pack but he never ran with the pack.
'Hush,' Clouse said and snapped his head toward me. His two lackeys did as well.
I turn away and walk off quickly.
'Run little puppy, you can't save her,' he connected only to me.
I felt a shiver and even Crystal whined.
"Is he talking about Arie," she asked?
"No. He isn't," I told her.
I started sniffing and smelt the scent of Farris. It led to the tables in the back. I speed-walked over to the gates and pushed through.
There sat Farris and Gin both of them talking about something.
"Hey," Gin said and then tilted his head toward Farris.
"Who knows what she will do? Move away! Tell the world," Farris said under his breath.
"No, she wouldn't. Trust me," I tell him and walk up slowly. Then I start rubbing his back.
Farris nods a couple of times and sniffles. "Damn I feel weak," he cried a little.
I looked at Gin who had a concerned face.
~~Arie POV~~
I checked my math and waited a moment before taking my test to the front of the room. I then stapled it and turned in my test. I set it on the scanner and after a moment it made a small beeping noise.
Fifty out of Fifty.
"Hope we did the best sweets," Cherry said.
"Probably, were the best," I told her happily.
"Ya, so what do we do about the wolf thing," I asked her as I tapped my pencil?
It went silent and I could tell she was thinking about it. After a couple of seconds, I diverted the question.
"So wanna go for a run after school," I asked?
I heard someone hush my tapping so I did. Then I took out a paper and started doodling on it. Mostly stars.
"Maybe, I don't know if I'm up to it," Cherry said.
"Ok, just tell me and we can," I said.
I laid my head down on the desk and could feel everyone's eyes locked onto me in sync. No one would take their eyes off me.
I took a breath and zoned out again my heart now a little bit faster.

Well, seems news travels fast! Hope she forgives or else some wolves may be after her.
