A Life of Our Own: Teenage Deeks

Mom!

Kensi's pov

We're driving to the address, and Deeks's phone rings.

"It's Avery." He says, and puts it on speaker. "Avery, oh my gosh. Where are you? Where are your siblings?"

"Deeks. Listen. It's Ray. I'm with Avery. Your other kids are in the room on the opposite side. She has Elliot."

"Ray, why are you with Avery? What is going on? Wait, if you have Avery, have her talk."

"Dad? Mom?" I hear Avery croak.

"Avery, we're coming to get you all." I say.

"No, Kensi, Deeks, listen to me. I will get your kids out of here safely. You all have to get Elliot from her. But I don't know where she has him. Have Eric track the only other working phone in the building. She took the batteries out of the other kids phones. Wherever her phone is, she is."

"Ray, take the kids to ops. We'll get Elliot." I say.

"Ok, but I can't fit all the kids in my car."

"Leave me." I hear Avery say.

"Avery. Ray is not leaving you." Deeks states.

"Dad, it's ok, I've been here the longest, I'll be ok."

"Avery." Deeks says.

"Deeks, if I take the kids, I have to go now. It's either take them all, or leave them all." Ray says.

"Dad, leave me, I'm the weakest already. I don't think I could make it to the car if i tried. I know you and Mom will get me back. Ray, go."

"Deeks, you're not gonna win this fight, I have to leave Avery." Ray states.

"Mom, Dad, I'll be fine. Get the police and go get Elliot. Ray knows where I am."

"I love you Avery." Deeks says.

"I love you too." I say.

"If something goes wrong, know I don't want to leave you all. I love you all and my brothers and sisters. Hang up, Ray." We're disconnected. I turn to look at Deeks.

"Deeks." I say, softly, "Our kids, they're not safe." I break down.

"Kens, you gotta stay strong. The kids need you to. I know this is hard, we're gonna get them back. But you have to pull yourself together." I wipe the tears off my face.

"I know." We arrive at the scene. I see Callen, Sam, and Anna. We run to the challenger.

"Ok, Sam, Deeks and I take the front where the woman is. Callen and Anna, take the back and try to find Avery."

"Ok, let's do this." Sam says. Callen and Anna go to the back, and we walk to the front. Sam signals for us to enter. Deeks kicks the door, and we go in. I see Avery lying on the ground, I run to her. Sam and Deeks go check for the woman. I slide on the ground.

"Avery. What happened to your face?" I take my knife out and start cutting the rope from her wrists and ankles. Her face has cuts and bruises all over. She has rope burn from how tight they were.

"Don't worry about me, they don't want to hurt me or Elliot. They want you." She croaks.

"What?" I say, Something hits the back of my skull, throwing my body forward, knocking me out.
