Chapter 5: Hey cool, I’m cool, you’re cool, let’s be cool together? Cool.

“I said that I'm a ride for my motherfucking niggas, most likely I'm a die with my finger on the trigger I've been grinding outside, all day with my niggas and I ain't going in, unless I'm with my nigga my nigga, my nigga.”

I opened my eyes on Monday morning to the sound of my brother – guess which one, singing horribly to some rap song, it honestly sounded like a cat being tortured. If you guessed Axel, then well done, I’ll send you a medal in the mail because only Axel is stupid enough to sing a song about his "niggas" when he himself resembles Casper the friendly ghost.

I groaned and rubbed my eyes while stretching my body in bed. I looked over to the clock and saw that it was 7:00 am. Ugh school! I hate Mondays, why couldn't we just start school at 10:00 am every day and finish at 3? Seriously it’s too much effort to get out my warm comfortable comfy bed…Sighing, I hauled my lazy ass out of bed and walked into bathroom, showered and got dressed for school. The only thing I like about my school is that we don’t have uniforms like some private snobby rich kid schools; we get to wear whatever we want. I dressed myself in black ripped skinny jeans and a white t-shirt followed by a jean jacket. I then picked my black converse that was thrown under my bed – yeah I know, I’m not the cleanest person in the world, whatever.

I headed out my door and down the stairs. Well, more like hopped down as I was trying to walk and put my shoes on at the same time. Just as I was putting my last shoe on and nearing the end of the stairs I tripped on my foot and let’s just say the ground and I had a lovely conversation. I rolled my eyes at my stupidness and stood up, wiping the dust of my jeans and fixing myself up I walked into the kitchen with a smile on my face acting as if I didn't just fall down the stairs. I expected my mom and dad in the kitchen cooking me breakfast like the good little peasants they are, but to my surprise they weren't in there cooking me pancakes, instead I was faced with  a sight I wish I could’ve avoided seeing; my brothers, stuffing their faces with bacon and eggs. I scrunched my face up in disgust as I noticed egg splattered on their face. I was just about to ask where mom and dad were but then recognition flashed through my eyes and I remembered what my parents said on Saturday night.

Saturday night

I stood like statue thinking about what just happened for a few minutes. It was definitely not the reaction I was hoping for, I mean I was hoping I could get him all flustered but I didn't expect him to retaliate like…like…that and declare a fucking war, I mean nothing good can come out of this, can it? Surely he was just kidding? Obviously he wasn't, Adrianna and you know it. Ah shit, what have I done? I guess this could be fun though, messing with him a little. Mwuahaha, even though every part of me is saying that this is dangerous waters and I shouldn't enter, another part of me is saying stuff the rules and enter that shit! Oh crap. Bad Adrian, stop thinking about this ugh.

Ok, focus on something else, didn’t he say that my parents were waiting to speak with me? Crap I forgot about that. Making my way down stairs quickly, I nearly sprinted to the living room where my parents, Axel and Clay were seated. I raised my eye brows at them asking a silent question about what was going on and they just simply shrugged obviously not knowing what was going either. I sat down at the table with Axel on my right and Clay on my left I looked up to my parents to see them watching us intently.

“Hello parentals, to what do we owe this pleasure to?” I smirked. I always loved messing with them, and unlike other parents they didn't send me up to my room and ground me for talking to them sarcastically they just simply laughed it off and shook their heads at me.
