Chapter 36: Surprise bitch
As soon as I opened my eyes I knew straight away that something was wrong. It could’ve been the fact that I was faced with darkness and silence. The only sound that could be heard was the fast beating of my heart. I didn’t realise I was tied up to a chair until I tried to make a move to stand up. My wrists were bound behind my back and my ankles were tied to the legs of the chair. Where was I? Where was Archie and why the hell am I alone in a dark room? The questions were flying through my head rapidly that I felt a headache starting to form.
Then it all came back to me.
My birthday. I remember walking outside to get some fresh air after speaking to Jackson and then all of a sudden a cloth was over my mouth and then everything went dark. I don’t remember how I got here or even what time it was because everything was a blur from then until now.
Shit.
Wait, if someone kidnapped me then where the hell were they now? As if hearing my thoughts, a noise sounded and I shot my head blindly in the direction of it. Panic set within in me as I watched light enter the black room as the door opened slightly revealing a black hooded person. I struggled against the ropes frantically not caring if the person saw me trying to break free. I didn’t know what this person was capable of or who it even was and I wasn’t going to just sit here and let them kill me.
Okay a bit dramatic there Adrianna, if they were going to kill you, wouldn’t have they already done it?
So not the time to be smart, bitch
“There’s no use in trying, it’s not like I’ll let you leave anyways.” The light flickered on and my eyes widened as I took in the familiar voice. Each step he took, the stairs made a creaking noise and nerves jumped in my stomach.
“Y-you-what?” I spluttered as my eyes rested on him.
Jackson’s lips turned up into a smile that I would’ve thought were attractive yesterday but it just filled me with disgust now as he walked over to me, each step he took only made me feel more nauseas.
“What?” he lifted a hand to my face and I wished I could slap it away but unfortunately they were being held back by rope. His eyes twinkled in amusement but then something else flashed in his eyes,
“Oh before I forget! I have a birthday present for you.”
What was this guy playing? Seriously, did he not think that there was anything wrong with tying me up to a chair and holding me here against my fucking will? He walked over to a table that I just noticed was in the room and picked up a bag before walking over to me.
I tried my best to not burst into tears as I thought about the situation I was in, there was no use in crying – it would only make things worse and I dread to think what could get any worse than this.
