I walked back to the How. Fully intending to go and get some sleep, when I heard voices. I looked at Edmund and Peter who were behind me and gestured them over. We slowly crept to the stone table room, the voices growing louder. We turned the corner and it was not good news. I took out my bow, Peter and Edmund unsheathing their swords. Even Lucy joined us and pulled out her dagger. This was because, before us stood Caspian, in a circle hand out, a werewolf, hag, and Nikabrik cheering him on. Caspian was about to touch the hand of the white witch, who was trapped in an ice wall.
We rushed inside, I headed to the hag. She shrieked as I hit her with an arrow in the arm. I really hated hags. She tried to claw me with her sharp fingernails, but I resisted using my bow. I looked to Edmund and saw him battling ninja style with the werewolf. I turned to Lucy, Nikabrik dead on the floor. Trumpkin stood a grimaced. The hag slowly made her way back over. I turned my attention back to her as I shot her straight in the heart. I really didn't like killing. But if she brought back the white witch - that wouldn't be desirable in the slightest.
"Alex.." I heard a chilling voice say. I turned my head and saw that Caspian had been pushed out of the way. I walked toward her and she held her arm out. "My dear, why you don't look happy to see me. Such a shame, I could have stopped the fate I am destined to bring to him too. All you had to do was just give me a drop of your blood and he would be safe." I walked closer to her and I could hear the word die being beaten through my head again. The flames taunted me and I could hear the shrieking of hags. "He will die Alexandra." She said again, I could feel the pain of the sword in my side and I cried out loudly and fell to the ground. The witch smiled at me devilishly. "Alex!" I heard someone scream.
All of a sudden the ice began to crack. I looked at it confused as to what was going on. It slowly cracked, more and more until it all fell to the ground in a mighty smash. Behind it stood Edmund, grasping onto his sword. He had a determined look on his face. "I know, you had it sorted." He said sourly to Peter who had just stood there the entire time like an idiot. Edmund came down and picked me up bridal style and we walked off.
