We walked out of the How to a cheering crowd of Narnians. All three of us decked out in armour. Peter smiled and tried to cheer with the Narnians, but I could tell he was nervous. Miraz was a tyrant and a murderer, he was not going to play fair. We settled ourselves in front of the How and Peter put on his helmet. "Good luck!" I whispered, hugging him. "I'll be fine!" He said halfheartedly. He turned and walked towards Miraz, preparing to duel. "He will be okay. He always is." Edmund said reassuringly, grasping onto my hand. Though I wasn't sure if he was trying to reassure himself or me.

Peter stepped towards Miraz, having a small intense conversation before swinging his sword. The swords clashed continuously, Peter taking in sharp intakes of breath or being knocked the ground, I gripped Edmund's hand tightly. This was very painful to watch. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Susan and Caspian riding back toward us. Miraz and Peter stopped, deciding on 3 minutes of respite. Susan and Caspian joined us "Lucy?" Peter asked. Susan nodded, "She got through. With a little help,". Susan then left to go help the archers, while Caspian helped with Peters injuries. "What do you think happens back home, if we die here?" Peter said, looking at Edmund, "You know, who've always been there and I neve - ah,". "Save it for later," Edmund sighed. I gave him a look and he shrugged "Peter is not going to die."

The duel between the two then continued, Peter's battle wounds increasing quickly. In one final blow, Peter knocked Miraz to the ground, lowering his sword and walking off. Miraz stood up, charging at Peter as I cried, "Peter,". Peter turned around, grabbing the sword and twisting it into Miraz's side, just tearing through the armour. Miraz cried in pain, holding a hand up at Peter. "What's the matter boy, too cowardly to take a life?" Miraz asked, still trying to intimidate. "It's not mine to take," Peter replied. Peter turned to the prince, holding his sword out towards him. Caspian stepped forward nervously.

Miraz looked up at Caspian, "Perhaps I was wrong. Maybe you do have the makings of a king after all,". Caspian let out a pained cry, stabbing the sword into the ground, "Not one like you. Keep your life, I am giving the Narnian's back their kingdom,". I smiled as the Narnian's cheered, Edmund and I started to walk towards him. The war was over and it would've stayed that way until Miraz let out a pained scream, causing the siblings to turn around and stare at their dead uncle, who laid with an arrow in his lower abdomen. "Traitors, they shot him, they murdered our king," Lord Sopespian yelled. Peter turned to the Narnian's, "Be ready," Caspian rode into the How, getting ready to go. Catapults were flying left and right. Here we go!
