I didn't move. I didn't breathe. I didn't do anything. I lost all control and function in my body. This is not good. Possibly 30 feet away from me Damian and his boys stood there, grin and all waiting for the game to start as if this was his normal routine. I felt sick to my stomach but I forced myself not to stand there and watch. It took long enough for it all to click and I had to move and move fast. It was too loud to hear my friends calling after me while I pushed my way through the crowd. I had to make it towards Danielle without being noticed and before they noticed each other. I was on the track sliding between people focused on making myself as unnoticeable as possible. She caught my frantic eyes but I knew better. Whatever I said could possibly trigger something or scare her. I had to do it the right way.
She pulled me into a hug and I swayed with her behind a group of people knowing we shouldn't really be seen. "I could've sworn you weren't coming." I said. I hesitantly hugged Bryan for a quick second and focused on what they had to say. "We weren't we snuck out. I couldn't miss this for anything." She tried moving closer but I didn't allow her. "I couldn't let her come all the way out here alone so.." Bryan explained himself. I had no idea if that was a good thing or bad.. Besides that I couldn't figure out how the hell to tell them. In my head I just kept screaming and telling them they need to leave but anything I said could possibly set them off in a way I didn't want to.
"Where is he?" she kept trying to get around me. I tried to speak but the words weren't coming out I couldn't do it. she finally got around but even though I couldn't tell her I had to tell him he'd know what to do. I stopped Bryan. "You can't be here.." I explained frantically " He's here Damian and his boys they're waiting for Chres-"
His eyes grew wide. "What?" his voice was barely audible. "I didn't wanna tell her because I don't think she can handle it."
"You're right." His lips barely moved and he stood completely still as If he were in a trans. He had gone pale and fear took over every inch of his body. "No, stop..." I shook him then grabbed his face forcing him to snap out of it and to look at me. "We need to stop him. I don't know what he's planning but he's probably gonna ruin this game. I know your mad at Chresanto I get it, but you need to put that aside, he can't lose this Bryan." he forcefully nodded his head he was completely focused and understood we have to do something really fast. He walked past me and I followed I looked around and he seemed to be looking for the same thing I was.
"Holy shit, where the fuck is Danielle?" He frantically looked at me.
I nearly jumped out my skin when someone grabbed on my shoulder. I turned around to see Lilly , Isaiah and Gabby. "What's going on?" Lilly asked. I couldn't control the tears that filled up my eyes at this point I shook my head. The last thing I wanted was for them to get involved I don't want any of this to ruin their perfect lives but then I also didn't want her to feel like I'm shutting her out again. "Im sorry-"
"I need you guys to help us find Danielle." Bryan cut in he was frantic.
"No." I spoke.
"Chresanto's sister?" Lilly asked.
"He has a sister?!" Gabby shouted.
"No! We can't get them involved."
"Alana its too late! She's no where to be found and if Damian gets his hands on her he'll take her right back from where she started. Even just seeing him could set her off.."
"Okay, we can do this, not them please-"
"Listen.." he pulled me aside. "You probably don't know this but she's in love with him and she's convinced he is just as in love with her but he isn't what he did...It's not love. She believes that he came back for her but she's torn between him and her own brother this is beyond just me and you trying to figure this out. This is what being an addict does to you. if we don't find her we will probably never see her again on her own terms not only his. Losing a game might hurt but losing his sister will kill him."
