Chapter 8: Healing

(Y/n)'s POV:
I watched the Hatter while he moved some stuff around,in order to find....i don't know exactly what it was...but i think he called it 'Upelkuchen' or something...

He turned around to face me. He settled down a cake that said: “Eat me”. I furrowed my eyebrows. "How is it supposed to heal me?" I asked. The Hatter chuckled. "Heh, silly girl...it doesn't heal you at all...it will just make you grow." He explained. I sighed. I took a bite. It tasted good. I then felt my whole body grow and my clothes shrink. They shrunk so much that they didn't fit on me and they left me naked. I blushed and tried to cover myself. Hatter closed his eyes and turned around.

Hatter's POV:

I covered my eyes so i wouldn't see (y/n)'s naked body. Though my eyes caught something...oh, don't be so stupid...you are nothing compared to her...she doesn't even remember you! "Um... you can turn around now" i heard her saying. I blushed deeply and held my breath. I turned around to see her with some blankets on her. "Erm...a-are you okay?" She asked. I didn't realise that my eyes had turned into a different colour now...a yellow one. I started to calm down, by taking a few breathes. "Y-yes" i said. She gave me a little smile "I guess i need some clothes..." she said a little shy. I rubbed the back of my neck. "Yeah...um don't worry about that... i'll fix it for ya" i said with a wink. She smiled "Okay...". "Good...um, now that you are in the right size, you can take a bath if you  want..." i said with a smile. "Oh...thank you" she responded. "And when you are ready we can heal your cuts and give you something to eat"i continued. She nodded and headed for the bath. 'I must learn about those cuts...' i thought. 'I hope it's not something important'.

(Y/n) 's POV:

I headed for the bathroom,while i took some glances around me. I was hoping that no one is following me. I opened the door and admired the big bath. I might not be tiny now...but the bath is huuuge. I took off my blankets and went to take a bath.

I stepped into the bathtub carefully, because my whole body was hurting from the cuts. When i entered the bathtub i smiled as the cool water touched my skin. I let out a sigh of relief and dove my whole body in the water.

When i finished, i stepped out of the bathtub and searched for a towel. I grabbed one that was hanging on a small wardrobe. While i was drying my skin with the towel i heard a knock on the door. "Hello?" I asked. "It's me...um...if you are ready i can help you with your cuts" i heard the Hatter saying. I quickly covered my body with the towel and allowed him to come in. He stepped inside, holding a little bottle in his hands  "This is what we are going to use to heal you it is called The Healer...the White Queen gave it to me a long time ago...she informed me to use it only when it's necessery...i guess now it is necessery right?" He asked. I nodded with a small smile. "Okay...tell me where you have cuts and i will apply the Healer." He said. I decided to start with my back that the Bandersnatch had caused...and with that i showed him my back "Alright" he said. He opened the bottle and turned it upside down. And just then a light liquid came out that seemed silky and soft. I removed the towel a little to allow him to apply the Healer.

Hatter's POV:

I applied gently the Healer on her back. The cuts were really big. I wonder how much it hurts, though i don't want to experience it. When i finished with her back i asked her if there were more cuts. She showed other parts in her body and i applied the Healer everywhere. Though she didn't say anything about the cuts on her hands. "The cuts will be gone by tommorow" i informed her and she gave me a nod. "Are you sure you don't have any other cuts?" i asked as i tilted my head a little. She seemed a little nervous with that question but she shook her head. "Really?" I asked with a raised eyebrow. "N-no" she said in a nervous tone. "Then what about those on your hands." I asked with my hands crossed on my chest. "I-it's nothing...really..." she said as she rubbed the back of her neck. "Are you sure?" I asked once more. She looked away and nodded. I know that she was lying to me....i know her better than her. I know when she says the truth and when she doesn't, i know when she is ready to cry, or when she is nervous...i know every little thing about her, i can read her like book. I reached my hand and raised her head from her chin, forcing her to look at me. I smiled softly "Nice try (y/n)...but i know you better than you think..." i said. "There's no worry to tell me...i can help you" i continued with a soft voice. She sighed as i waited for her to respond. "I-I'm sorry but...i just...i..." she said in a shaky voice. I added one hand on her arm "Calm down and tell me" i said and smiled at her. She sighed. "Well, i don't know how to start...i...my parents never believed in me...they never, h-helped me...nobody did...no one *sob* no one cared about me and...after my f-father died i.... i started to think that...my-my life is pointless...and t-that there is no need to exist anymore...and i always thought that..that i am disgusting to everone..." and with that tears rolled down her beautiful face. My heart started to pound fast 'Poor (y/n)' i thought. How could someone show disgust to her? Who dared to do that?

Third person's POV:
(Y/n) continued to cry,...when  suddenly she felt two hands wrapping around her and pulling her into a hug. The Hatter hugged (Y/n) tightly and hushed her. "It's okay, it's okay...you are okay" he whispered. (Y/n) cried more as she gave up to the hug, of her friend. No one had ever hugged her like that. Nobody but him. When (y/n) finally calmed down he pulled off from the hug and dried her eyes with his thumb gently. He gave a warm smile to her. "Do you promise me you will never do that, again?" He asked in a soft voice. (Y/n) nodded. Hatter smiled and gave her another hug, letting her relax in his tight but yet comfortable hug.
