I'm stronger than the misery you cast upon me

"wakey wakey" Ashley cooed as she poked my cheek. 

"no" I said covering my face.

"come on, I want to go get breakfast" she said.

"what time is it" I asked.

"it's noon" she said.

"holy shit I needed that sleep" I said.

"get ready I'm gonna go in the living room and wait" she said.

"alright" I said getting up.

I walked into my bathroom and got ready, I got dressed and stepped back into my room. Ashley was sitting on my bed.

"what's this" she asked holding a piece of paper up.

"looks like paper" I said.

"it's a note, care to explain" she asked.

"what the fuck is it" I asked jerking it from her hand.

It was a note from Corey. It read:

Don't stress the small shit, it'll all work out in the end. If you need anything you know where to find me at any time.

I sighed, the cat was pretty much out of the bag. I told her everything. I cried a bit but she held me together.

"I'm so sorry tay, you don't deserve that shit" she said.

"I have to continue forward, I can't let this break me" I said getting up.

"what's the plan" she asked.

"you and I are going to breakfast and then to your house and finding out what baby shit you have and then going shopping" I smiled.

"awe, you do love me" she smiled.

"I promised to be here for you and I haven't been, I'm sorry" I said.

"I know your still here tay, we always got each other" she smiled.

"yes, we do" I smiled.

We headed out and got in Ashley's car and headed to get breakfast. We ate and then headed to Ashley's house. We were both a little shocked when we saw Sid's car in her driveway.

"he must be talking to Ethan or something" she said.

"oh well, let's do our thing" I smiled.

Ashley smiled at me and we headed inside. Ethan and Sid were sitting on the couch talking.

"hey stranger" Ethan smiled to me.

"hey" I smiled.

"where you been hiding" he asked.

"around, ash and I are going through baby stuff" I said softly.

"you ok" Ethan asked as Sid stared at me.

"perfect" I smiled walking down the hall.

I saw Ashley out the corner of my eye shaking her head no to the question but I ignored it. ash came into the room a few seconds later and helped me go through the stuff.

"ok I want a snack, are you ready to go shopping" Ashley asked.

"yea" I smiled.

"I'm getting a snack you head to the car" she smiled.

"ok" I said walking down the hall and out the door after seeing Sid and Ethan still on the couch.

I leaned on Ashley's car and lit up a smoke. I hadn't smoked since the last time I smoked with Sid. Maybe this will calm me down.

"care to share" Sid asked walking up.

"sure" I said handing him it.

"I'm sorry about last night" he said exhaling.

"nah, you're not" I said.

"look I was being real tay, I do love you, I don't want to see you hurt" he said.

"thanks for your concern, I'm not hurting, I trusted you, you burned me. the difference between you and I though, is that I actually know what love is." I said.

"if you ever need anything, just call or text me and I'll be right there I swear" he said.

"I'll be just fine" I said.

"I love you white rabbit" he said softly.

I just shook my head quietly. He leaned in and kissed me for the final time, the last taste of Sid Wilson. We pulled apart and he smiled softly. I watched him walk into the house as Ashley came out. I only then noticed he had tossed the smoke I had out. I shook my head to myself as I got in the car with Ashley.

We shopped the day away and she took me home in time to shower and get some rest.
