Get Away

~Three Months later~

"GRIFFIN" I yelled with the girls as we chased him through the house.

"I didn't mean to" he yelled laughing as he hauled ass.

We had been making lunch and griffin sprayed us with a water gun, soaking all three of us and lunch. I turned the stove off and we went after him.

"you cant run that fast little legs" angeline yelled jumping over the couch.

"im gonna beat you griffin" aravis said rounding the coffee table.

I came through the hall so that he was caught from either end. We caught him and we all hit the floor in the living room just as the front door opened. We all looked up from the ground to see corey with his bag over his shoulder.

"what the hell" he laughed.

"he soaked us with a water gun" angeline said as I got up.

"so this is what you guys do while im gone" corey laughed.

"sometimes" griffin shrugged.

"you're not safe yet" angeline said to griffin as they all stood up.

"dad wont let you attack me" griffin stuck his tongue out.

I picked him up over my shoulder and dropped him on the couch, the girls started tickling him as he begged for them to stop.

I went into the kitchen and got the water gun. I walked back out into the living room and saw corey had put his bags down and was helping the girls hold griff. I sprayed them all with the gun and hauled ass upstairs as they gave chase and forgot about griffin.

"you were in the way" I yelled.

"you did that on purpose" aravis laughed.

"you don't know" I laughed.

"bad mother" angeline said wrapping her arms around my waist.

"the worst" I laughed.

"I got this one ladies" corey said stepping in front of me with his wet shirt.

"gross, lets go angeline, their just gonna make out" aravis laughed.

I laughed as I looked down at my shoes, corey's finger ran under my chin and lifted my face, he leaned in and kissed me softly.

"you are so amazing" he smiled.

"why" I asked.

"look at what you've done, I've been gone three months, my kids are happy and home, my fiancé is happy and home, I came into the house to see you guys having a blast, I hope every day is like that whether im here or not" he said.

"I love your kids just as much as I love you, and everyday with them is great" I said.

"lets get married" he said.

"what" I asked.

"this weekend" he said.

"ok" I smiled.

"really, you're in" he asked.

"I would marry you today" I said.

"what about last week" he smiled.

"last year" I smiled.

"good to know, lets go tonight" he said picking me up over his shoulder.

I was gigging as corey carried me downstairs and into the living room.

"come on kids, we're going to get married" corey yelled.

"did she say yes" griffin asked.

"you knew" I asked looking up from corey's backside.
