Alexander Talks Back

Johns POV

"When's Jefferson getting here? And isn't he supposed to be in France or...?" I asked Lafayette, he nodded as alex laughed

I got down to his height

"What's so funny you goof ball" I asked, he started laughing harder

"That's such a fun name!" He said in between laughs, "I guess so"

Then there was a knock at the door

"It's probably Thomas" Laf said and opened it, it was Jefferson

"Hey Lafayette" he said, taking a bite from the cheesy food "bonjour mon ami!"

They hugged weirdly and Jefferson looked at alex,

"Who's baby?" "No one knows, you're here to feed him" I spat, no one talks about my baby like that... wait-

"No! Laf wanted me to come over to... do.. something..."

He turned to Lafayette, Laf giggled

"Johns right, jefferson. I tricked you, now feed the child!" Laf shouted happily, Thomas sighed

"Fine but I won't enjoy it!"

Jefferson put a bowl in front of Alex, getting a unused fork to feed him

"Open wide... I guess" he said as being the fork with mac-n-cheese closer and closer to Alex's face

"No! No, no no!" Alex turned his head away from the fork, I snickered at Alex

"Shut up, you gay turtle!" I gasped "don't use those words in front of a three year old! Those are bad words! And don't call me names!"

"I hungry!" Alex shouted, getting up and running towards the sleeping Herc

"You're lucky he's not repeating what you said!" I shouted, Laf giggled as Jefferson rolled his eyes

"Apple juice!" Alex yelled in hercs ear, waking him up, he looked around then seen alex

He sighed "okay.."

He got up and went to the fridge with alex, getting himself some to

"Get us some to!" I yelled, he nodded

"I'm out, bye Lafayette" Jefferson said and left as quickly as he could

Herc handed me and Lafayette our drinks, we clinked them and started drinking

"No! Stop!" Alex yelled, we looked at him "are you ok alex?"

"I want to make a toast I think" we nodded and sat down, staring at him

"I may not live to see our glory" he started off "he's 3..." I whispered to Hercules, he giggled and we started to listen to the small child again

"But I will gladly join the fight!" "Of course you will!" Laf said and ruffled his hair

"And when our children tell our story" we laughed, joining in "and when our children tell our story!" We said in unison, making alex smile ear to ear

"They'll tell the story of tonight!" He chirped and jumped on my lap, I'm guessing because I'm in the middle of Laf and Herc

"On three!" I said, we all raised our glass of apple juice

"One...two...three!" We all drank

After awhile we all got down, alex threw down his juice box and yelled "to the revolution!" "To the revolution!" We all said in unison again

"Can we walk?" He asked, "of course, Alexander" Laf said, picking him up

We walked foot outside to see three woman walking down the street, one looked sad and some what angry, the other two were happy

"Who they?" Alex asked

"You don't know?" I asked, he shook his head, no "they're the Schuyler Sisters! Angelica, Eliza and Peggy"

"Look!" Alex pointed to burr, staring at Angelica, we snickered

"What's so funny?" Alex asked, nervously laughing "burrs gonna do something stupid and embarrass himself, it's gonna be priceless"

Burr walked up to Angelica, making us snicker

He spoke some words, making the sisters face scrunch up, making alex giggle, they said something to make burr back off and said something like "look around, look around" and stuff like that

"Look over there!" Alex again pointed at someone, not him

Samuel Seabury

"Hear not the bramble who scream "revolution" they have not your interest at heart!" Herc rolled his eyes, "oh my god, tear this dude apart"

I punched him slightly, burr walked up to us, then I nudged him jokingly

"Down!" Alex commanded, Lafayette put him down, holding his hand

Samuel keep running his mouth, alex had enough of it and let go of lafs hand, he started walking towards Samuel

Burr got down to his height and pushed him back slightly, "let him be"

Alex stood there, doing as told and I bent down, nudging his left shoulder forwards, he stopped then Laf nudged his right shoulder forwards, Herc nudged his left, he finally started walking up there

Burr looked around frantically

"Where's Alexander?!" "Look to Samuel"

Burr quickly looked at Samuel, fear in his eyes, seeing a small figure walking up to it

"You idiots! He's like two!" Burr shouted "his three"

"I pray the king shows you his mercy! For shame, for sh- oh! What do we have here?" Samuel asked, picking up alex

Burr started to walk toward Samuel and Alex, only to noticed me holding onto the collar of his shirt, "let go!" "Nope"

Alex turned his head to the crowd, or at least the people he could see

"He'd have you all unravel at the screams but the revolution is coming! The have-nots are gonna win this!" Alex shouted to the crowed and Samuel

Samuel growled, about to put him down, before he touched the ground Lafayette sprinted up to the box, grabbing alex and putting him on my shoulders, face to face with Samuel

A lot of people started cheering but a small part booed. Boo you to geez

Samuel stared at alex

"They have not your interest at heart!"

Alex growled at him this time

"It's hard to listen to you with a straight face" alex said, then snickered, every body laughed then cheered

"Chaos and bloodshed are not a solution!" Samuel said, only to the crowd

"Chaos and bloodshed already haunt us, honestly, you shouldn't even talk"

"You just got burned by a three year old!" Hercules shouted from the crowd, a lot of people agreed

Samuels face went brighter then a tomato, then stomped off the box, alex started cheering and everyone joined in

"Let's go alex" I said, taking alex and putting him on my hip. Hercules high fived alex, burr ran off, like always. But there was something happening... I heard strong stomping... not from burr
