Philip frantically runs into the living room, bring Eliza a newspaper, "look!- grandpa's in the paper!- 'War hero Philip Schuyler loses senate seat to young upstart Aaron Burr'!-"
Philip looks up at Eliza and Eliza has an anxious look on her face
"Grandpa just lost his seat in the senate-"
"Sometimes that's how it goes" Eliza hesitantly states
"Bubba's gonna find out any minute-.."
"I'm sure he already knows-.." Eliza signs out
"let's go further down.. let's meet the newest senator from New York.. our senator-"
"Burr!-" Alexander exclaims loudly, running up to Burr and stomping his foot at him again.
"Since when are you a Democratic Republican?!" Alexander howls at him
"Since being one put me on the up and up again.." Burr answers proudly.
"No one knows who you are or what you do!"
"They don't need to know me, they don't like you." Burr chuckles out
"Excuse me?!"
"Oh, Wall Street thinks you're great.. you'll always be adored by the things you create.. but upstate?"
"Wait." Alexander tries to stop him cautiously.
"People think you're too young. Schuyler's seat was up for grabs so I took it."
Alexander steps back like he's offended, "I've always considered you a friend!-"
"I don't see why that has to end." Burr shrugs.
"You changed parties to run against my grandpa, stupid!-" Alex roars out angrily.
"I changed parties to seize the opportunity I saw. I swear your pride will be the death of us all. Beware, it goeth before the fall!"
