School went perfectly fine well, not the part where I basically I avoided Cater. He's been calling my phone nonstop. I'm not mad at him. I just need space. It was hard finding out that my mom lost two unborn babies. Carter had nothing to do with it but yet here I am keeping my distance from him.

My mom still hasn't been home. The lights in my house were cut off and that proved that it was time for a job. The only job available right way was at Pops. Which was a good thing since I was already there almost every day. It's just less time I have I have to look for Marcine.

So I need all my time to go in looking for her and not worrying about my love life.

"Lieah?" I turn to see Carter following me down the hall.

"Hello Carter," I say so bluntly

"I don't understand, why are you mad at me?"

"I'm not, I told you I need space to think and to figure out where my best friend is at."

"And I can't help?"

"I didn't say that when I'm around you I get distracted." I could see the smirk even though he looked serious.

"You distract me too Lieah but I'm not pushing you away."

Oh, he had a point there. I just can't focus on my love life right now.

"Just promise me, no more flirting, no more kissing, no more acting like we're boyfriend and girlfriend."

"I can't promise no flirting because, to be honest, I love seeing you blush."

Great I blushed.

"Just keep it to a minimum."

"Deal" he held his hand out for me to shake it I hesitated at first.

"Come on it's a handshake." I finally grab it and quickly pulling it away.

"So what now?"

"I think we should look into the Blossoms."

"Why," I asked wondering why he thought he was a good idea. Even though I already knew we should do that.

"Because my family and their family have had the feud for as long as I can remember."

"Well, I brought that up to Betty and Veronica. Betty said her and Jughead were going to look in on it."

"Okay, let's go to the lounge and meet up."

I nod my head, yeah and we start going to the lounge. "You know what I don't understand."

"What" I looked at him confused as we continued to walk.

"You acted like I had something to do with my mom did."

He was sadly right about that. I didn't mean to. It helps me to block people out, Marcine and I always had fights when I did that.

"I'm sorry."

He didn't say anything after that.

We get to the lounge and see everyone there.

"Lieah" I hear behind me. I turn to see Cheryl and Kim were standing behind me.

"Hello, Chery" I completely ignored Kim knowing she was standing there. I could see the fury in her eyes.

"So I've heard that your mom is a crack hoe." I could feel my face turning red. I stood in shock. I could feel Carter push me away from them. "Oh please, Carter she's a big girl she can fight her own battles." Kims annoying voice rang in my ears.
