IX

The past can effect the present so much. It can effect relationships, friendships, it especially can effect a person.  The past is a deadly thing. It will kill a persons future. But there is one thing good about the past, people can learn from it. It's a learning experience.

"Why did I get a frantic call from Kevin who got a call from Joaquin saying that Carter was losing  his mind, because he couldn't find you?"

Oh how I like the way they start a sleep over.

"I went to look for my-" I couldn't finish my sentence before banging was at my door.
"What the heck" Veronica said.

I walk over to the peep hole and see Carter standing there looking as mad as he could be.

I walk back over to the girls and beckon them to be quiet. They nodded and we walked up stairs.

"Lieah why won't you just open the door" Betty said looking genuinely concerned.

"I can't talk to him, to be honest I don't think I can be friends with him anymore."

"Your joking, right" Veronica asked.

"No, ugh I just don't want to fall even more for him."

"Awwww Lieahs in love" Veronica basically squealed.

More banging at the door. And my phone started ringing. I quickly ignored it. "Ok what if I am, he has a girlfriend and we need to focus on what I found out today."

Not soon after did Betty and Veronica phones start ringing. They happily ignored it for me.

"Okay so what happened."

"My mom has been selling drugs to carters dad!"

"What" they both said in unison.

"And somehow the person dealing to my mom stop because his dealer stopped."

"Oh my gosh" Betty yelled.

"Right, someone else has to tell Carter because I'm not."

"Of course we'll tell him Tuesday at school."

Betty phones starts ringing. "It's Archie, you wanna take it Veronica." She shook her head no.

"Hey Arch."

"Great."

"Yeah I'll do it now, you owe me big time."

She puts her phone on speaker. "Lieah I know your there and please just hear me out."

"No leave me alone Carter."

"I was so worried about you today, I swear if you ever do that again I will-"

"What would you do Carter."

"I just, I have to protect you."

"Because Marcine told you to or because you really want to."
I hang up the phone, then I realize that it wasn't my phone.
"I'm sorry Betty that was rude of me."

"Don't sweat I was gonna do it anyways."

"Okay so how are the twins."

"Their so cute, they have red hair like Jason."

"Awe so cute I really want to meet them."

It was good to talk about other things then what's going on. It felt like old time except for that Marcine was missing.

We feel asleep well past 2am. It was now Sunday and I needed to find a job today.

"Guys get out of my house!"
