We all expect life to go a certain way. We dream of growing up, going to college, finding your dream job, finding the one, getting married and having a family. But sometimes life decides to take another path. The life you planned out to have changes. Sometime for the good and sometimes for the bad.

"Accident?"
My heart started to beat fast. I didn't know what to do if I lost Lieah to "Where is she" I asked frantically.

"She's being transported to the hospital."

"I'm on my way" I hang up the phone and get in car quickly. As I drive I call Betty.

"Hello?"

"Betty?"

"Yeah, Carter are you okay?"

"Meet me at the hospital" I pretty sure she heard the tears in my voice.

"W-Why?"

"Just meet me please and tell everyone else."
I could hear her shout my name as I hang up the phone. My hands gripped the steering wheel  tight as I drove to the hospital. It seemed like a long drive from here. It never seems this long but today. I kept thinking over and over again in my head "you should've stayed with her."
"You're suppose to protect her." I started hitting the steering wheel. "Ahh" I let out a loud scream.

I finally make it to the hospital. I run up there in a rush. "Where is she?"

The lady in the front desk looked confused which at the moment just made me more angry.
"Where the hell is my girlfriend!"

"Sir I'm gonna need you to calm down and tell me your girlfriends name."

"Lieah" before I could say anything else the doctor walked out.

"Are you Carter?"

"Yes, Where is she?"

"She staple I got the bullet out quickly, but she still has some internal bleeding we're working on now." She was shot. They said accident as in car, the lady didn't say she was shot.

"She was shot?"

"Yeah the in stomach."
My heart dropped. Before I could react Betty and Jughead came in.

"Oh god Carter" Betty ran up and hugged me "I'm so sorry."
I let my head fall on her shoulder and let the tears fall out. "She was shot."

Betty rosed up "Oh my gosh" her hand went over her mouth. Jughead grabbed her and pulled her to his chest and let her cry.

I pace back and forth until Veronica,Archie, Kevin, and Joaquin came in. Once we told them what had happen Veronica burst out in tears and the only thing Archie could do was hold her. I once again started pacing.

"Why haven't they been back?"

"You have to let them work" Kevin said.

"Its been hours, I need to see her" I go sit down next to Archie and put my face in my hands.

"Do they know who did it" Betty asked.
I sit up and look at her.

"No they haven't told me anything."
I get up and start pacing once more.

I felt a hand on my shoulder I turned to see Kim and Cheryl there. "We heard what happen, I'm so sorry" Kim said trying to sound sorry but failed miserably at it.

"What are you doing here?"

"Officer Keller told us there was an accident we rushed out here" Kim said.
