~SMALL PRE-CHAPTER RANT INCOMING~
Hey guys, sooo lately, I haven't had the ultra motivation to continue Boys For Hire because of a lot of reasons. One of them is people commenting on the earlier chapters about my grammar mistakes, the flow of the story etc. Of course your allowed to critique! I'm always open to ideas of how I could improve. But I would like you, my dear reader, to take in to consideration that it's been roughly 2-3 years since I've started writing this story, and I have matured both in mind and writing style throughout those years. If you've noticed or haven't, chapters closer to the beginning of Boys For Hire are shorter, less detailed, and faster moving, those were written when I was still a younger writer and less experienced. Chapters around 18ish onward are (hopefully) longer, unless I have a reason for a short release, more detailed and move slower to make room for plot twists etc.
Please bear with me, as you all know by now my schedule is one update once a month, and even though it may be long for you all, it does take a rather long time to develop a chapter. Thank you for being patient thus far my lovelies, and enjoy this chapter^^

Warning: WHEN I SAID YOU ALL NEEDED LAST CHAPTER I WASN'T LYING THIS ONE WASN'T FUN TO WRITE 😭😭

"You're evil..." My eyes widen to the point of spots filling my vision. I clasp onto the railing for support, and the cool metal seems to burn my paling skin.

"You're the evil one." The boy grins, baring his teeth. "Trying to take everyone away from me, that's not fair...!"

My right ankle already bent in a way that defies natural, I use every last bit of my strength to attempt to pull myself away using the rail. "I wasn't... I wasn't trying too-"

"Shut up!"

Quivering, I try to stop myself from shaking by clasping the moon charm hanging around my neck, focusing on memories of the boy who gave it to me. "Please..." I whisper, half a plea half a prayer. "Just don't hurt them..."

"Oh, I wouldn't really have a chance. Those two would be able to overpower in less then a second. But..." There's a sinister twinkle in his eye. "I can't say that about your precious big bro."

**Earlier that Day**

"This is probably the dumbest thing we've ever done."

"Kudos for the input. What, you scared?" Ichirou shoves Hotaka lightly to the side playfully and laughs. "It'll be fun."

"It's called, 'A Test of Courage' and not 'A Test of Fun' for a reason." Hotaka blows a piece of hair grumpily out of his face.

"Oh c'mon, Hotaka." Katsumi teases. "Your definitely scared aren't ya'?"

"Am not!"

My mouth tugs up in a slight smile as we walk further down the bush track towards an abandoned cabin said to be 'haunted' in a reserve two streets down from my school. During fifth period, a friend in my hospitality class Lila was blubbering about how her boyfriend had made her take one of these 'Test of Courage' tests. Their plan was to sleep inside the cabin for one night, and it eventually ended with Lila being jump scared by her boyfriend and leaving half way through the night. While I took the cake we were baking out of the oven, she put a map on the table and suggested that I take the Boys For Rent to do the test.

My eyes wander to the blonde haired boy off to my side who is awfully quiet.

"Akihiko?"
