Miyah woke up layed out on the floor in front of her parents room. The wind that was blowing frantically had suddenly stopped. Miyah got up with confusion. She looked for her stuffed animal. It sat in the doorway of the room. Miyah cautiously moved closer to it. The wind blew, Miyah jumped back and the rabbit blew towards her. She looked at the dark room and seen the window was closed. She quickly grabbed Mr.Greg and held him tight. Under him was a silver compass.
She picked it up and seen the pointer facing North but she didn't know why.
"Miyah dinner!" her dad called from downstairs. Miyah hurried down the steps.
The next morning Miyah decided to skip school, her favorite pass time, and follow the mysterious compass. Driven by curiosity she bypassed the school bus and ran swiftly down the street. She hid behind a shed feets away from her house and camouflaged her backpack in the bushes making sure to grab Mr.Greg first and the compass. The compass now pointed west down into a backyard forest.
Miyah snuck past the owners backyard and into the forest.
"Shush Mr.Greg your scaring me, there's no such things as monsters" Miyah stepped on a twig and jumped back by the sound. "AH MONSTER!" She seemed embarrassed seeing she was overreacting. "That's not funny Greg." She looked around and noticed the creepy noises and dark surroundings,"Just keep me safe okay." She held on to her rabbit and kept walking cautiously following the direction of the compass.
After awhile of walking the compass went crazy and the needle pointed in every direction and finally stopped at N. Miyah walked past big trees and seen a house.
The house seemed abandoned and quite haunted looking which made Miyah more nervous then ever. She looked back and noticed she had no clue how to get back. The only other direction was forward.
Miyah knocked on the door softly. She was shaking in fear as she clenched Mr.Greg tightly. The door screeched open and Miyah stared inside. The house interior was all white and pretty expensive looking. From the door you could see a staircase.
Miyah glanced at Mr.Greg. "You sure it's safe to go inside?" She looked at him and sighed. "Fine." She walked inside and as soon as she walked in she heard someone playing the piano and a girl singing coming from upstairs. The house was empty for the most part, furniture draped with white sheets.
Miyah began heading upstairs where the music was coming from. The space was large and empty and had big mirrors. There was a white piano playing in the middle of the room all by itself.
The singing swayed across the winds and throughout the room the song was from a movie Miyah saw last week with her parents in their room. It was "Come little children" from the movie Hocus Pocus, but the singing was different instead of "come little children" the voice repeated "come little Miyah"
Miyah saw a figure sitting at the piano, it was a girl with long hair. The more Miyah was able to see her the more the singing got louder until the piano finally stopped playing. A transparent girl with long blonde hair and a white dress had stopped singing and looked right at her.
"Miyah Elise...its great to actually meet you." She smiled at her and Miyah was frozen as she stared at her.
