"Paris Francene Wright!" I heard my mom called from down stairs. Oops looks like she's angry, I thought to myself. "I'm coming mom!" I replied trying my best not to sound nervous. I freak out when my mom is angry, she might seem cool and out going but DO NOT mess with her when she's excited. We were visiting her best friend at Phoenix Arizona, I really don't know which best friend she was reffering to, cause my mom almost called all her friends her best friend so it was hard to determine which was which.
I almost ran downstairs and ran to the car. My dad was standing and he helped me with my bags, "try to remember if you forgot anything" I was about to open the car's passenger seat until I remembered that I left my phone and wallet at the top of my bed.
"Paris, get in the car" mom simply said. "Mom, I have to get my phone and wallet, I left it in my bed." I said trying not to make her angry. "Argh! Paris, I knew you would say that." I just smiled at her with puppy eyes and ran to my bedroom to get my wallet and Phone, I bent down to get my earphones under the bed and my charger near the lamp shade. "Why do I have such a scattered brain?" I asked my self.

I ran to the car and jumped on the passenger seat. "Leggo!" I said with a huge grin, my mom just rolled her eyes Dad finally started the car and drove off the driveway.
We arrived at the airport, I smiled at my dad and hugged him tight. I'm gonna miss you daddy bear" I said trying not to sound emotional. "I'll miss my two angels, its hard to stay in a lonely house for a week." He replied. He hugged us both and messed my hair, "daddy? Whyyyyyy?" I complained.

He laughed and kissed my mom goodbye.
We checked in our luggage and got hot coffee from a small coffee shop inside the airport. The speaker announced that the passengers on our flight should start boarding. Mom and I stood up and carried our hand carries to the plane.
We got on the plane, and I finally drifted to sleep, "I hate motion sickness" I thought to myself.
We finally arrived at Phoenix, it was hot, like really really hot. Mom and I picked up our luggage and walked to the arrival area and my mom started searching for who ever who was going to pick us up.

My mom looked around for several minuets until someone almost screamed "Rachel!" My mom turned around with a huge smile plastered on her face.

I couldn't see in far distances like the distance the woman was standing, I refuse to wear glasses so this is what I get.

The woman was running towards us when my phone vibrated, I checked my phone and saw a text from my best friend Stacy;
"enjoy phoenix! Get all tanned up! Love yah! Xoxo"
I smiled at the text and heard my mom screeching "Terry! Oh how I've missed you sooo much." I was about to send a reply when I stopped to think, "wait, TERRY?!" I finally got my eyes off my phone and finally looked up. Oh my God, it was Terry Cole! Ivan's mother, the nerd I turned down a long time ago.

She looked at me and smiled, "Oh! So this is Francene now?"
She asked. My mom didn't respond, "you're all grown up! My God!" I tried to smile but failed, I tried not to look plastic but failed again.
"Gosh! Francene? How many million years has everyone stopped calling me that?" I thought to myself, I composed my self, smiled sincerely and said; "I prefer Paris now" I simply exclaimed while reaching out my hand to shake her's. She didn't take my hand but instead she pulled me for a hug.

I turned to my mom and mouthed; "why?!"
She just shrugged and and I frowned at her. She broke our embrace and pinched my cheeks "what a gorgeous daughter you have, no wonder our Ivan was head over heels for her a few years back" she said smiling, "can anything be much worse than this?" I thought to myself.

A convertible stopped in front of us, the driver rolled the windows down he smiled and said; "what are you waiting for ladies? Hop in!"
We got inside and I recognized the driver as Ivan's dad, I smiled at him. "All grown up now huh France?" He exclaimed with a smile. "Sort of, and please call me Paris" I replied trying not to sound nervous.
The rest of the ride was getting boring so I plugged in my earphones and listened to the song "Soldier by before you exit."
We finally arrived at The Cole's Residence with clammy hands. I was starting to bite my nails trying to control my nervousness. I might have rejected Ivan, but I still have a heart yah know? I still felt kinda guilty.
"Oh Francene! I mean Paris, Let me help you with your luggage darling, Ivan has gone for the week too bad he went to a summer outing with his friends. My heart was literally dancing with joy, "such a lucky break!" I thought to myself.
"What did you say darling?" Mrs. Cole asked.
I just realized that I said it out loud, I faced palm myself through my mind. "Oh! I said that it was too bad not seeing Ivan after all those years." I simply replied flashing a toothy grin. "Do you want me to convince him on coming home this Wednesday?" She innocently asked. "Oh! Nice job Paris!" I said to myself, "don't sweat it Mrs. Cole, Its fine, I can see him next time." I replied with a flat tone. "Call me Mrs. C like you used to when you were little" she replied with a small smile. I genuinely smiled at her, feeling slightly guilty about what I've done to her son.
"We have an extra guest house in front of our garage Rachel, well it isn't actually a house cause its just a room, you can stay there. Francene here, can stay inside the house".
"Oh! That's okay, Paris can sleep with me here." Mom stated trying not to offend them. "No! Accept my offer Rachel, I want my guests to have the best here in our house. Paris can use the guest room, It might be a little stuffy if you both stay there." Mrs. Cole sweetly replied trying to convince my mom. "If that's what you insist then Terry, your wish is my command" my mom replied trying to sound funny causing me to roll my eyes.
I finally got my things up the guest room and laid on the bed and never realized that I was drifting to sleep.

As I woke up, it was almost dawn, I unpacked my things and went to the bathroom to wash up feeling tired and dirty.
I walked up the bathroom and started the water, I stripped off my clothes and felt the water running down my tensed muscles and tired body. I applied my favorite Strawberry scented shampoo my boyfriend used to love.
Oh! Yeah, I almost forgot, he "used" to love it cause I killed that cheating bastard a million times inside my head. I scrubbed my body with body wash while slowly singing the song "All about that bass" by Meg Trainor.
I was feeling safe until the door busted open and the song I was singing became a loud scream. I hid under the shower curtains until I realized it was almost transparent then hurriedly pulled my towel from the towel rack.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH! What the hell!" I loudly exclaimed, almost punching the guy who opened the door forgetting that I'm half naked. "Oh shit! I'm so so so so so SORRY!" The guy nervously stated looking as red as a tomato.

"There is such an action called Knocking! What era are you from 1000 B.C!?" I irritatedly exclaimed wanting to cut his head off. If we weren't in such an awkward situation, I would have put to mind that this guy was an eye candy, with his Dirty blond hair and mysterious brown eyes. I snapped to reality when he finally stated; "well, there's such a thing as locking doors!" I felt my flood rush up to my brain causing me to ball my fist, I was about to punch him when I suddenly heard Mrs. Cole's frantic voice. "Oh my! What has happened?" She asked sounding really worried. She peeked inside the bathroom seeing me with just a towel with a red and enraged face ready to kick some ass.
"I'm sorry sweetheart, if Terrence suddenly busted through the door! This is Ivan's cousin, he is my nephew". She smiled trying to calm me down, "Terrence this is Paris, Rachel's daughter". The Terrence guy, stared at me with some sort of anger and distress, "next time, please remind her to lock bathroom doors mom, I do respect privacy" he exclaimed with a flat tone. "Terrence, stop that! This is our guest." Mrs. Cole exclaimed while turning to Terrence. "He calls me mom cause he practically already lives here with us ever since he was three." Mrs. Cole exclaimed with a smile trying to change the topic. "Please do remind him to knock on doors, it actually exists in our era" I replied with poison in my voice.
Mrs. Cole finally pulled Terrence away from the bathroom, I finally closed it and this time, making sure it was locked.
Well what a nice way to start my summer.
