1| SAMI and FINN

Day One June 25th // wrestling with each other

[this video inspired a lot of it]

It was one of the best things about NXT, there was a lot of creative freedom. Better than that, live shows did not have to be taken too seriously. And that left a lot of room for shenanigans and just for people to have plain out fun. So when Sami and Finn got to go against Enzo and Cass, everybody knew it was going to be a blast.

"Let's switch jackets, yeah?" Finn suggested as he made his way to the gorilla.

As if Sami was going to deny wearing Finn's jacket, "Alright."

"And I'll take that," Finn laughed as he plucked the hat off of Sami's head and put it on his own. He had his belt on, and looked down at himself. "I'm all ready mate."

Enzo and Big Cass were already out heading to the ring, leaving just them. "Play Zayn's theme!" Finn ordered as he grabbed Sami's arm forward. "We're going out to your theme."

Sami was puzzled for a second the plan was that they were going to go out to their own themes. But he shrugged it off, deciding to just follow Finn and have fun.

The crowd was electric as the two came out, dancing along to his theme song "Worlds Apart". And the crowd lost it even more once they realized the two had switched jackets. They got to the ring, and even though Finn's music wasn't playing, he mounted the ropes he usually did and striked a pose, to which Sami pointed at him with a big goofy grin on his face.

Once Finn got down the two approached their opponents and the group fell into it was a proper stare off with Sami and Enzo in each others faces, and Cass and Finn in each others.

"What do we got over here?" Enzo turned to Cass. "You think you're a dancer twinkle toes?"

Sami pushed his hand against his heart in offense, "Let's just see how you are in the ring." 

The pair took of their jackets and handed them to the crew beside the ring as the bell sounded starting the match. The four were still in the ring debating on who was going to start off the match.

Being fed up with it, Cass went to just smack Sami, but on instinct Finns hand shot out and grabbed his wrist.

"We got a tough guy over here Cass," Enzo joked. "I think there is only one way to settle this boys."

Finn grinned big as he dropped to the mat, his arm held out as he looked expectantly at Cass who followed his actions.

"So...they put off the match to arm wrestle," Corey announced as he watched the ridiculousness that was happening in the ring.

"Come on Finn!" Sami yelled as he leaned behind Finn, giving him encouraging words. He found himself not focusing on te other guys in the ring, but soley on Finn. Mainly his back muscles and the way they moved as he put force into what he was doing.

As the two slugged it out in the arm wrestling, Enzo took that opportunity to go after Sami for a roll up since he noticed how Sami was not paying attention at all. Sami pushed out looking incredulous at Enzo, not believing he was going for such unfair pins. Instantly the two locked up, Enzo twisted Sami into a side head lock.

"Sorry Cass," Finn grinned as he put all his might into pushing Cass's arm down. "My boys calling."

Finn got up, kicking Cass in the head as he grabbed onto the ropes repeatedly doing the action before pushing him out of the ring. With that he turned his attention to Enzo and Sami. As Sami whipped Enzo into the corner, the two shared a knowing look at both went to start running only for Enzo to raise his hands. The two men slowed, and shared yet another look. Only shrugging as they let their boots connect with Enzo's head to the crowds cheers.

But Cass was back up, and grabbing Finn instantly going for punches. The referee was on his side and told Sami to get back out of the ring, trying to gain some control over the situation. So while the other two went at it in the ring, him and Enzo began to go out of it outside the ring.

It was going about 50/50 for the two outside of the ring, but Cass was getting the better of Finn in the ring. Finns agility wasn't countering well to Cass's height and utter brute. So once he had the chance he went for his finishing move, the Empire Elbow. But just as he went to go for the cover, Sami grabbed onto Finn's foot and dragged him out.

"You alright?" Sami questioned as he put a hand on Finns shoulder.

Finn grinned and nodded, "I'm perfect," before sliding back into the ring, Sami following right behind him.

Shaking his head at the two, Cass bounced against the ropes looking for a second Empire's elbow, but Finn clotheslined him out of it, leaving both him and Sami in the ring. The crowd began cheering again as the Finn and Sami went for a double suicide dive, launching themselves at the duo.

The they all clashed into each other leaving them a heap of bodies on the ground. But of course the referee began for the ten count causing all four men to scramble back into the ring before it hit.

The fight got taken back into the ring. And Finn was getting the better of Enzo, which wasn't that surprinsg. But Sami was just having fun as he cheered on for Finn. Smiling at the ginger, Finn drop kicked Enzo and tagged Sami in. Sami jumped the ropes, going to the top ropes for the coup de grâce as the crowd popped losing their minds, girls screaming over the fact that he did Finn's finishing move. And as he covered Enzo, the referee counted to three.

Finn jumped back in, as Enzo rolled back out, Big Cass walking back up the ramp to the back, leaving the ring cleared for the two.

Sami pounced on top of Finn who caught him in the hug. Gently, he sat him back down so that he could raise Sami's arm and point to him.

"And the winner of this match is Sami Zayn and your NXT champion Finn Balor!"

As Finn lowered their arms to grab his belt back, Sami took a look down and bravely clasped his hand, intertwining it, as he rose them once Finn had ahold of the championship. Finn turned to Sami quickly, surprised that he made that move in the ring, in public. But as the crowd did nothing but cheer, he felt his worries go away, as all he had to do was have fun in the ring with somebody that he loved. Because Sami Zayn was the man that he loved.
