Day four June 28th // valentine's day

[I tried with the Japanese, I didn't use Google Translate, I used a book, but if anything is incorrect and you want to make a correction, please do so!! xx]

Shinsuke didn't know what to do. He didn't know what was expected of him, or what he wanted to do. He knew Valentine's Day was coming up, and that it was a highly important thing in Western culture, and it was in Japan too, for different reasons.

In America, it was just sharing the love between a couple. In Japan, Valentine's Day was the day women gave gifts to the men, and neither Tye nor Shinsuke was a women, and White Day was when the men gave gifts back to the women. And most of the time the gifts were just hand made chocolate, sometimes flowers. In America, the expectations were so much higher. And every day the date crept closer and closer and Shinsuke found himself panicking more as he tried to figure out what to do. If they were going to exchange chocolate, which one of them would be the "female"? Thinking on it Shinsuke figured it would be him, because he was the one always accused of be rather flamboyant.

So in the end, he found himself making the chocolate as he tried to think of an apology to tell Tye.

"Awe Shin," Tye coed as he took the chocolate from his boyfriend's hands. "Did you make this yourself?"

"Yeah," he sheepishly admitted. "I'm sorry I didn't really get you anything," Shinsuke looked down. "Chocolate just seemed so simple for someone as extravagant as you."

"Oh Shinsuke," Tye sighed as he smiled and set down the box of chocolate onto the table impressed with his usage of words, he was still only just learning English. "Gifts don't matter, because I love you anyways."

"You do?"

"I do," he smiled as he leaned in pressing his lips against Shinsuke's. "Besides, I got something for you."

"That makes me feel bad I didn't get anything!" Shinsuke protested as Tye pulled away.

"I didn't get anything exactly...just. Listen okay?" Shinsuke nodded his head agreeing to be quiet, and leaned back onto Tye's bed, watching him carefully.

He cleared his throat and began, "Shinsuke Nakamura, Anata wa watashi ni yori yoi otoko ni narō to omowasete kureta. Anata wa watashi no taiyō, soshite ai desu. Hya-kko no hāto demo, kimi o aishite iru to iu no wa hyōgen shi tsukusenai. Anata wa watashi ni totte, totemo daiji na sonzai desu soshite Kotoba de anata e no aijō wa iiarawasenai. Anata no sukina tokoro wa hontou ni takusan aru. Kimi wa totemo utsukushii yo soshite  boku wa kimi no koto ga suki nanda."

"Shinsuke Nakamura, you make me want to be a better man. You are my sunshine, my love. A hundred hearts would be too few to carry all my love for you. You mean so much to me and words can't describe my love for you. There are many things I love about you. You're so beautiful and I'm in love with you."

Shinsuke sat there for a second, dumbfounded. He didn't know what to think. He couldn't believe Tye had learned that all in Japanese, and he couldn't help his eyes well up in tears. "Tye..."

Tye stood there, a nervous grin on his face, afraid that he botched it bad. "So?"

"I love you too, so much."

A proper grin broke out on Tye's face as he wrapped his arms around Shinsuke to pull him closer, "Happy Valentines Day."
