Chp 9

Hyejin woke up that morning feeling good and all, but she still had this feeling of loneliness lingering around in the house.

She missed the screams of her little siblings and her mother chasing after one of them. She missed here father just watching the whole thing, occasionally, with a cup of coffee until her mom would make her father get involved.

It was never really quiet at home.

But here...

It just felt too quiet.

She had easily made friends at the hospital, due to her half-foreign background and because of how friendly she was. She had made one particular friend who she was closest to.

Lee Soomi.

She was really nice and friendly. She was the first to approach Hyejin and the two instantly became close friends.

She made her way after dressing and taking care of her hygiene.

She'd often take cabs if not walk the long distance.

Hyejin couldn't believe it was already a week since she moved here.

She reached the hospital and greeted everyone like always.

"Hey Hyejin!" Soomi came up to her.

"Morning!" Hyejin replied.

"Boss told me to give this to you." Soo mi said handing me a file, which meant it belonged to a patient. "He said something about the patient you saw last week... an ear injury or something."

"Oh...?" Hyejin couldn't help but smile a little, knowing it was referring to Yoongi.

"He asked if you could see him today. At his place or something." Soo mi said. "Like right now."

"Okay thanks Soo mi." Hyejin took the file.

"By the way, while you're out, buy some fried chicken for the both of us at lunch ok?" She said, and Hyejin nodded and left.

Hyejin had a feeling that Yoongi purposely asked for her.

"Hello." Hyejin bowed respectively to Bang PD.

"Ah hello." He said back. "Yoongi should be practicing again."

Hyejin followed him to the dance room, and smiled once she stepped inside and took a seat that he had offered her which had a perfect view of the boys dancing.

Hyejin could've sworn that she saw Taehyung smile once he saw her, but he was probably smiling before she came or something.

They finally finished and she gave a round of applause. Their dancing was really something else.

They enjoyed the applause and bowed to her as Bang PD told them to take a break again except for Yoongi.

Taehyung gave Hyejin a cute look and left afterwards.

"Well Mr. Salty Grandpa. Has your ear still been hurting?" Hyejin said as she took out her kit.
