A/N This is a bit short. It was also unedited and I apologize for that. Hope you like it. I don't know how to right action scenes at all. Very Sad.
A flash of light went by followed by a sound 'CLANG'.
When I opened my eyes, I find myself staring at the back of an unknown man. If I have to describe him in one word, I would say 'green'. Everything about him is green. His robe, his shoes, his nails, his hair and his eyes.
However, it kind of suited his personality. It kind of added a hint of mysteriousness on his demeanor coupled with his good looks and good body, he really can compare to my beasts in terms of beauty.
His arm was raised in front of him connected with the blade. I know for sure the Commander was exerting force so it was a great shock when the man's arm was unscathed not even a scratch. What was even more fascinating was that the blade began to corrode and it actually melted a couple of seconds later. It became liquid and not even the hilt was spared. If the Commander haven't let go of it, he would lose his arm forever.
'Who is this guy.' My only thought.
The green haired man exhaled very loudly and green mist came out his mouth. One of the humans was exposed to it and at first, there was no reaction. A couple seconds later, he began to shout incoherently while his skin melted off.
The Commander, which I found out was a Wind Elemental that's why he was very fast, was so smart he used the wind element to circulate around him to prevent contact on his body. One of his comrades was smart to follow what he did.
However, one of them used his Fire Element to encircle himself but instead of protecting himself, the mist caught fire and scattered all around which killed everyone including the Wind Elemental. He was far too weak to shield himself from the rogue fire. The Commander was strong enough to persist but he was really having a hard time to do that. He was full of sweat and I saw him have that expression of being afraid. In the end, he made the wisest decision he can do, he ran.
The green- robed man raised his arm and a flash of green light was released. It was too fast that when the Commander finally noticed it chasing him, he was not able to dodge. All he can do is move to the side to at least, hit his shoulder and not a vital part of his body.
He looked at the object that pierced him to see a needle three inches in length. The needle didn't pierce him too deep so he took it off his shoulder immediately and began to ran again.
I was confused why the weird man beside me didn't gave chase. Then we heard it, a loud piercing scream full of anguish and terror.
I went to the direction of the scream and there I saw the Commander whose face full of disbelief. The shoulder he was pierced with the needle was starting to deteriorate and like the sword, it melted. I was tempted to puke because the scene I saw was so disgusting. What power can make even the human body melt?
I eyed the green-robed man with caution.
"Who are you?"
He stayed silent. His eyes however, changed to slits like snakes. I gasped.
"You!"
He smiled at me.
"I haven't gave you any permission to let you out."
"That's true. But you were about to get killed and that would mean, my life would be forfeited and I don't want that."
"Return immediately. I don't want to see you yet."
I know I am being a bit bitchy but I am still bitter about Chad. If you guys don't know who he is, he was the snake Chad fought. He was forced contracted and became one of my beasts.
"Is this really the time for this. Your race is facing a problem that could threaten your survival, you need every help you can get."
I grunted and of course, I agreed. I may not like him but I can't deny that what he said was the truth.
We ran towards the place of the fight. I was so happy when the numbers of the humans were getting smaller. They were losing.
Why we won was mostly because of the beasts. Grug, the Stone Giant, would swipe his big arms and would kill a lot of enemies. Dryads and other beasts that took residence in our Village also helped.
The humans had no chance at all. We may be outnumbered but our strength definitely is stronger.
Their Commander is already dead but I know he was not their leader. I looked at the robed man above. He was flying and ten meters in front of him is the Grand Elder. There energies are clashing.
Their fight was not the true fight, it was merely a warm up and the one who lost in this warm up would have a hard time defeating the other.
The air was dangerous. It was like an invisible giant cyclone above and probably why it was not suitable for everyone to fly. Even Elder Rexx was not riding his Eagle.
We heard a shout. I was greatly alarmed.
'Reinforcements?' I thought. 'Damn'
There were about five carriages on their camp and only about twenty people can occupy. But the surprising thing was, many humans were going out off the carriage.
All the Elves returned to their posts and prepared themselves.
The humans charged.
The war started again. Many cries of encouragement and cries of disbelief were heard. Swords clashing and armors breaking were a trend.
I saw Chad jumped to the center of the battle field. I screamed on my mind, 'Are you crazy?'
Beneath his feet, his own shadow began to spread. It moved until it created a giant web. Enemies whose shadows would tangle with the Shadow Web will lose the ability to move.
Chad moved his eight spider legs behind his back and killed everyone who were trapped on the Shadow Web he created.
Ethan showed of his powers by growing Treants. This Treants has devastating strengths far more superior than the resident Stone Giant.
Crush like always, showed off his weather capabilities. Raising his trident in the skies, clouds began to darken then let out a heavy downpour. A flash of lightning would strike down hitting everyone on the area followed by an angry sound of thunder.
Finn, showed off his mind abilities by controlling five humans. They followed his will and attacked their fellow humans. Finn's third eye was open and any enemy that looked at it would forget all his memories wondering what he was doing in the middle of a war.
The green-robed man, whom I call Cole, exhaled a lot of green gas. Any friend who inhaled it would not die but instead, would get stronger. However, it does do the same for the enemies. Anyone who inhales the gas would die from poison.
But it was not enough. Enemies were still swarming and coming out off the carriage.
'Space Magic? But how?'
I made up my mind.
"Destroy the carriages. It is our only hope."
