If I were to sit down and write a poem
What would be the first line
Would it rhyme
Where would the ideas come from
When would I find the time
How would I make it not sound dumb
It's all about word choice
And rhythm
So I could write this as a poem
With word choice
And rhythm
If I get it right
Maybe I just might
Keep up the pace
Just in case
It isn't pure nonsense
And I keep the right pretense
I can sit down and write a poem
With word choice
And rhythm
