"Kayla wake up" I flutter my eyes open and roll over not listening to my mother, who I was proudly pissing off.

"Kayla, our flight leaves at four thirty! It's two!" I open my eyes again first thing I did was roll my eyes.

"Come on, brush your teeth, change, whatever and come down stairs" I sit up and watch as my mom stumbles out of the room.

Literally she looked like a zombie walking out. I can't argue though.

I smile a bit and roll off my air mattress. Yes, I had to sleep on a air mattress because all my furniture is already at my new house. Don't get me wrong it was pretty comfy.

I walk to the bathroom and look at shrek in the mirror.

"Hey sexy" I mumble, putting toothpaste on my toothbrush.

I finished doing my thing and walked out shutting the light off. I close my door for the last time and stop.

I look up at the door across my room. I slowly walk towards it putting the tips of my fingers on the door handle. I slightly push down making the door open slowly.
I look around in the empty room and frown. My eyes water as I took two steps in. I wipe the tears that slowly started falling.

"Alec!!" My four year old self yelled at my brother.

"Get out!" I shook my head viciously giggling. He wrapped his arms around my body lifting me up on the bed.

"You're strong!" I cheered, clapping my hands together with the biggest smile on my face.

"Duh! I'm six! Of course I am!" I shook my head and rolled my eyes.

"That doesn't matter poop face!"

I put my hands over my face and cried silently, thinking about all the memories with Alec.

"Kayla!? Honey!?" I wipe my eyes and shake my head taking one last glance and closing his door.

"Kayla!" I roll my eyes as I hear my little brothers voice scream my name.

"Liam I'm coming!" I hear him laugh making me smile. Liam is my adopted brother, he's thirteen years old. Only a year younger then I am.

"Hey bud" He smiles and hugs me tightly making the smile on my face bigger.

Liam understands the situation but it's hard for him to really be upset about, he was young and it's understandable.

I took one look back and sigh with a small smile. My mom smiled at us and wrapped her arm around Liam's shoulder.

We walk in the car in complete silence. I stare at the house I grew up in one last time.

"Guys, We're moving next door to one of my friends I grew up with. She has a son your age" my mom broke the silence with the news.

"Is Alec there?" My heart shattered into a million pieces.

"No Liam" I mumble, he sighs and looks out his window. I look back at him and see tears rolling down his cheek.

This is gonna be terrible...

"Alright we're here!" I open my eyes seeing a big house in front of me. It was beautiful.
