CHAPTER 4: BELOW THE BELT CHALLENGE
Ang sakit sakit ng ulo niya. Kanina pa tumutunog ang alarm clock niya, but he can’t get up because his head is killing him like hell. And he feels that this day is not gonna be good, he can feel it, and he can feel it like hell.
“Until when do you plan to look at your airplanes, Mateo.” He can sense boredom in his twin’s voice. Nakabihis na ito. “It’s the first day, you will be late.” He is holding a paracetamol and a glass of water in his hands.
“Ah! I’m glad you are here my dear brother Timotheo Lucas. I need help. My head is killing me.” Reklamo niya at tinaas ang dalawang kamay niya na parang humihingi ng tulong.
“You always say that everytime it’s the first day of school.” Nakasimangot na sabi niya.
“But you are always here to fetch me.” Now, that is the truth, since they were in elementary.
Lumapit sa kanya si Theo, ipinatong ang tubig at gamot sa desk table niya saka siya hinila paupo. Inabot nito ang tubig at gamot sa kanya. He appreciates everything his older twin brother by 10 minutes do to him. Magmula pa nuong bata sila at ganitong first day of school. He doesn’t even know why on earth he feels a terrible headache and weak every first day of school, but Theo knows what to do.
“Now, get up.” Sabay hila sa kanya patayo pagkatapos niyang inumin ang gamot niya.
Umalis na si Theo hawak ang baso ng tubig, at siya naman ay pumasok na sa banyo para magshower. Habang nasa bathtub ay nakatitig lang siya sa malaking ngiti ni Luffy na nakadesign sa ceiling niya.
“So what will happen now? What is it this time.” Napa buntong hininga na lang siya.
Naaalala niya pa nuong first na pumasok silang dalawa ni Theo sa elementary, the very first thing that happened to him sa first day of school was binully siya, and every first day of school na pumapasok siya, it was the bullies he needs to deal with for 6 years.
When they entered grade 7 sa may Luke’s, the very first thing na nangyari sa kanya was to deal with a bunch of girls, pouring him with juices, and saying sorry while touching him. Well, he was not saying that he doesn’t want it, he likes it. It’s just that everytime he goes home. Nagrereklamo na ang naglalaba ng uniform niya. Napangiti na siya.
“Please surprise me a little bit more my dear first day.” Naibulong na lang niya, saka siya tumayo at nagshower.

“What’s with the bored face Mateo?” tanong sa kanya ni Theo habang nagdra-drive. His twin even knows that he doesn’t like to drive during the first day.
Napalingon siya sa kakambal, he flased this bored smile saka umiling. Saka lumingon ulit sa bintana.
Narinig niyang tumunong ang phone ng kakambal, he doesn’t care until Theo mention who is on the other side.
“Baby Sez.” Napalingon siya sa kakambal. He is smiling. “I miss you too, Baby Sez. Yes…see you later. Kisses, baby Sez.” Saka nito binaba ang phone.
“baby Sez my ass” nasabi na lang ng utak niya. Lumingon ulit siya sa labas ng bintana. His heart, It’s on the process of scarring. Deep. Is this his first day surprise? It’s more like a first day blues. “Damn.”
“Naghihintay na sila sa atin, sa parking lot.” Theo has this “Excited smile” on his face that is almost annoying, but he can’t complain. He was the one that brought them together. Theo and Seze.
