She has been through so much
She has scars all over
She's glass
Cracked glass
Still cracking as the days go by
He saw her
"So beautiful" he said
Her eyes hold so much pain
But her smile is enough to cure my own pain
"Can I just hold you?" He asked
"Yes please"she said
As he inched closer
He held her gently
Afraid she'll break
She try's to push him away
But he pulls her even closer
"Trust me" he said
"I'm not going anywhere. I can't promise I'll never hurt you but it'll never be on purpose."
Then she hugs him even tighter
And whispers
"Please stay with me"
She thought he didn't hear her
But he did...loud and clear
They were under
Covered by shadows and thorns
They saved each other.
They didn't live happily ever after
But they were together
They held each other
They lived
And that's all that matters.
