Chapter 2 - Wild Doggo has been Caught

(This chapter is dedicated to my cat, who has been missing since the fourth of july.  Above is a picture of her)

I waited outside the door happily for him to read it. I waited five minutes - nothing. Ten minutes - nothing. An hour - nothing. When was he going to read it? I soon became a bit depressed. Maybe he simply wasn't interested. Completely unaware that humans can't read in dog language either, I decided I might as well go to Markin. Just then, I heard footsteps and shouting. "There's the wild mutt! Get him! Take him to the royal pound!" "Oh no, Jack called the guards!" I shouted in my mind. I tried to sprint out but my tail got caught between a table and the wall! I struggled and tried to free myself but if was no use. They caught me...

I was taken to a pound underneath the castle. It was damp, smelled of rotting corpses, and was very dark. Not a single light other than a few candles. If it weren't for the cells having miserable cats and dogs inside them, one would be unable to even tell it apart from a dungeon. My cell was shared with a bright orange tabby cat and a brown mutt who looked to be a german shepherd/lab/chow mix. They were sitting as far as possible from each other. "So... your new?"the cat said staring at me with her emerald green eyes.  Even though she was the first to speak, it was obvious that she was scared. I took a step closer and her fur fluffed up. I got a bit of it on me but shook it away. "Dog, stay away from me. I am not afraid to scratch you." She warned. "Sorry, I just want to leave and go home. I never should have broke into the castle just for a fantasy of jack and mark together..." I said, seeing my foolish mistake of trying. "Woah, you broke into the castle?! I was just caught outside without a collar! That's... " I blurted out, interrupting "- I'm sorry I just wanted three kingdoms together again and to find an heir to the throne possibly I'msostupidimsorryihadgoodintentions" "Wow, calm down, I was going to say that you were awesome and brave.. well for a dog". "You have cat to be kitten me, I'm sure if you tried, it would be a cat- astrophic, a-paw-ling, failure...          I'm sorry for sounding rude, I haven't seen an animal in awhile and needed to let out some puns.." I said. She stared at me like I just said a ton of puns... oh wait I did! "Ok.. despite all the puns, i think you might be worthy..." she said, still not sure if she should be disgusted or offended by my it. "Worthy for what?" I said. "You will see in the next chapter" she answered. I was confused on what she meant.  "I forgot to mention, I'm Sarafina, but you can call me Sara." The cat sated.
