Chapter 10: Pastel Lagoon

/Dan's P.O.V/

Phil's face was priceless, he's so adorable...

Pj offered for all four of us to hang out after school today, I said yes, as did Chris and Phil.

/Phil's P.O.V/

Today after school, me, Dan, Pj and Chris are planning on hanging out for a few hours. The only problem is that when Pj says a few hours he usually means a lot more. I don't know where they plan on going, but I do know that I don't care where we go as long as I'm with Dan, and the others, of course...

We walked In a group to the main entrance of the school, chatting about our days.

We walked out the school and the fresh autumn air hit us. Dan inhaled and exhaled a long breath of air, letting out a puff of smoke through his separated lips.

We walked down stone paths and into the woods. We followed brown leaf trails, as frosty twigs snapped behind our steps. The larger trees creaked and the smaller ones just swayed in the cool winds. Pj and Chris ran along and sat down on a small patch of grass, huddled close to keep warm.

"Hey phil," Dan began to whisper into my now red ears from the cold, "Whilst them two are being all affectionate, let me show you my secret hide out." I nodded at his suggestion, as he began to walk away from Chris and Peej.

He ran up to a large opening in the forest, it was gorgeous. Bluebells were scattered all over the area and there was a giant oak tree in the middle.

Dan galloped up to the tree and leant against the trunk. "Come here, I'll give you a boost" Dan gestured towards a branch on the tree. I smiled and made my way over to him.

He bent down and gave my feet a boost to a long branch. He then pulled himself up after me, and we stayed close together, to keep warm, obviously.

There was a gap, directly above the tree we were sat in. The sky was a pinkish orange, and yellow clouds danced all around the pastel lagoon.

We could hear crickets. They made such a relaxing sound, that I didn't even realise Dan had put his head against my shoulder, his hair sprawled out across my navy blue coat. It's such a beautiful night.
