Part II

Kakashi stood with his hands shoved in his pockets and an disinterested look in his eyes. Hagami on the other hand, stood with her arms by her sides waiting for Hiruzen to begin the match. Her muscles were tense, which wasn't something she wanted to be visible in the eyes of him.

"Also, before I begin. Kakashi, you may use your Sharingan. Hagami, when he uses the Sharingan, you have the choice to back out but that also means you fail the Ninjutsu Exam." Hiruzen warned and Hagami flinched. There wasn't a chance she was going to back down but the fact that Kakashi had the choice to use the Sharingan made her increasingly uneasy.

Did Hayate tell Lord Hokage that I possess the Sharingan? Hagami thought and her pupils dilated slightly. Is he trying to get me to use the Sharingan? I'm going to have to be careful in this fight and just watch vigilantly. She thought and tried to shake the anticipation from her nerves.

"You have forty-five minutes to display your use of Ninjutsu, Hagami. If one goes unconscious, then it's a pass if it's Kakashi or half-credit if you do." Hiruzen explained and angled his head toward Hagami. She took a deep breath to try to calm her nerves. "Alright, and begin!" He said and Kakashi drew his hands from his pockets.

Hagami had always been a ninja for the defensive. She didn't like to strike first, but she always could. But against Kakashi, that wasn't the wisest. He was at the top of his class, like she had been as well as Shisui. Going against him with the first shot would give him a slight hint on who she was and how she fought. So instead, she waited for him to strike first, which he eventually did.

"Chidori!" Kakashi had shouted and Hagami stumbled backward from the sudden burst of speed Kakashi displayed. But she used the same movements she had during her fight against the ninja who had used the Twin Kama with her. She fell backward arching with her hands on the grounds but changed something up after. Her feet shot forward and out, trying to hit Kakashi in the stomach. However, hitting him would be a harder than just melee attacks such as this one. Her feet only kicked the air when she sprung back up to her feet.

Hagami held both arms out tensed and ready to defend against the next attack. But Kakashi was exceptional and fairly hard to detect which made her have to close her eyes to sense him. But a thought occurred to her now that she had her eyes closed. She could use the Sharingan right now, but at the same time, they may become suspicious if she suddenly had sharper and more precise movements. She refrained from putting that thought into reality.

However, as soon as she returned to the actual battle, she could hear the ending of a jutsu, "-kakyū no Jutsu (Fire Style, Fireball Jutsu)!" Hagami heard the last of it but knew the jutsu like the back of her hand. Despite Kakashi having a mask too, the fire surely passed through or were produced outside the mask and just propelled forward through the use of chakra manipulating the air in some sort of fashion.

"Katon, Gōkakyū no Jutsu!" Hagami shot the jutsu right back at Kakashi. The heat in the room increased drastically as the two fireballs collided and through the use of Shisui's Sharingan, the two jutsu were almost equal in strength. Hagami kept blowing the flames from her mouth as well as the respected chakra amounts but her lungs were already starting to burn. Soon, she'd have to breath and then her jutsu would die down leaving Kakashi with an opening.

Kakashi on the other hand, was surprised that Hagami could hold out against his jutsu. He was running out of chakra, not as a whole but as a single jutsu. He had to save more in order to continue using other jutsu. And that's what he did. He canceled the jutsu quickly and then leapt up into the air to avoid Hagami's but her's cancelled out almost as quickly as his.

He also watched as Hagami began weaving hand signs for her next jutsu and his hand reached for his hitai-ate. However, Hagami had thought a set ahead and took a kunai from ninja holster. She threw it straight at Kakashi's wrist and his arm jerked away to avoid being cut. When he turned back, he saw that Hagami had finished weaving signs for her next jutsu, "Raiton, Raikou Hitofuki no Jutsu (Lightning Style, Lightning Blast Jutsu)!" She shouted and clapped her hands together. Her jutsu had evolved since the Kyūbi's attack so now this jutsu of her's cloaked the majority of her arms. If there was so be an attack that hit her anywhere on her arms, she'd be able to channel her chakra into that person or weapon.

But her fighting style against Kakashi was useless. Hagami learned that even without his Sharingan, he could see through most of her sequences. She swung her left arm toward Kakashi and he merely blocked it with ease. She followed with a punch from her right arm but this time Kakashi caught her wrist despite it being cloaked in lightning. She soon realized that he had countered her lightning with his own and her attacks would have no effect as long as he kept in balance with her power.

Hagami began to panic when she tried to yank her wrist free from Kakashi's grip. His lightning also because increasingly more powerful and Hagami also realized that he had copied her jutsu. Sparks of electricity began to play at her nerves. But Hagami's jutsu didn't falter much. In fact, she had tried her best to claw Kakashi's hand from her wrist.

Kakashi's grip became tighter on her wrist until Hagami let out a short scream. Hagami's knees began to shake and then they eventually buckled beneath her from how much electricity had been coursing through her veins and body. Kakashi had used her own jutsu against her and he was even more proficient at it than her as seen when she let a shrill pass her lips. When she was finished, she had resorted to panting and greedily taking in the oxygen she needed.

"Hagami!" Sasuke shrieked from the balcony. Kakashi had let go of her wrist by now and Hagami had stayed conscious but she was visibly paralyzed. She had fallen flat against the brick floors of the arena. "Okaasan! Will Onēsan be alright?!" He asked worriedly. Mikoto looked down at Sasuke with a reassuring smile and look in her eyes.

"Don't worry Sasuke. Hagami will be just fine." Mikoto assured vaguely.

"Lord Hokage. I believe this fight is over." Kakashi stated bluntly when he turned to Hiruzen as well as the Jōnin who were lined up. Hiruzen breathed a stream of smoke when he removed his pipe from his mouth. He merely side-glanced at Shisui from where he stood and he pushed himself up from the wall. He wasted no time to race over Hagami. First he checked for physical injuries, there was only a slight burn around her wrist but it'd heal soon enough. Other than that, she was unscathed, except being temporarily paralyzed.

"The fight is over. Hagami, you showed average Ninjutsu skills for your ranking, but you still have a lot to learn. Without the Sharingan, you're not able to weave hand seals fast enough. I'm sorry Hagami, but you did not pass the Ninjutsu Exam. You need more practice." Hiruzen said somewhat begrudgingly. Hagami had gotten at least to her knees now and wiped the side of her mouth where saliva had dripped. Her nerves still tingled with the feeling of electricity making it a little hard to move around.

Hagami panted still from the shock of the jutsu so Shisui helped her stay steady even though she was still on her knees. I still have a lot to learn about if this is how strong Jōnin are. Even if it's just one battle skill, Ninjutsu, I need to practice harder. Of course, it might of gone better if I used the Sharingan.
