The rest of the day was a blur. Aquarius kept thinking about the stuff that happened in the cafeteria all day. Justin singing that song. Jessica being a bitch. Her mind was racing. She couldn't take it all in.

"Is Justin still a pervert? Does he still like Jessica? Am I just a tool?"

"Aquarius? Aquarius!" The teacher yelled.

"What?! Y-yes!" She stammered.

"Are you paying attention?" The teacher asked.

The whole class fell silent. Every pair of eyes were starring at her. Even her friends.

"Umm, yes." She replied.

"Well, if you are paying attention, then tell the class what we were just talking about." The teacher said.

Aquarius looked at the board. She saw the word "narrative", so she went with that.

"Go to the office. Tell them that you weren't paying attention. Even though that is what we are talking about. But you took a while to answer. " The teacher ordered.

Aquarius sat there in shock trying to take in the information that the teacher just said. She then got up and looked at her friends in confusion. They just shrugged their shoulders.

She took her time walking down the stairs to the office. This was her first time going to the office, so she didn't know what to do.

When she got there, they asked her "why were you send down here". She answered honestly and they told her to sit in a chair.

Then she heard a door open and there came voices.

Out around the corner came James.

"Aquarius! How come you got send to hell?" He asked.

She laughed at his remark.

"I wasn't paying attention in English."

"Been there, done that." He said.

He takes the seat beside her.

"You?" She asked.

"Talking back at the teacher. Same old. At least I can still play football."

"The American or British?" Aquarius asks.

"American."

Then the office lady told them to be quiet.

But James just kept talking.

"You playing soccer? Heard you were good?"

"I..I don't know."

"Well, you better decide because the first soccer practice is today after school." He told her.

"Oh. Thanks. Glad someone knows what's going on."

"Ha! What I still can't believe is that the teacher send a cute girl to the office."

"Who?" Aquarius asks.

"You're kidding right? You!"

"Me? I don't think so."

"Hey! Stop telling yourself that! If someone says that you're cute or pretty then it's true. Especially from the first person who tells you."

"Yeah, well, the first person that said anything about me was that I was useless." She says looking at the floor.

"What?! Who said that?"

"My mom. She never said anything encouraging."

"Well, I know how you feel. I'm adopted and my foster parents don't care shit about me."
