For being the winners of the exercise, my group got extra food that night. I was reading a book I had brought with me when I got a knock at my door. It was Feather, Leaf, and Phoenix. Phoenix was carrying something. We all sat down on my bed and Phoenix put the bow in the middle of us all. "Apparently, that exercise was broadcasted on TV. My folks saw it and sent us victory food." She opened the box and inside was a variety of beef jerky. Mild. Teriyaki. Honey Mustard, and the Fire Sectors specialty, flaming hot! "To victory!"

...

It was when all three of them left was when I settled in for bed. That's when the nightmares started.

I was back in the city arena. I was standing alone but I heard screams that sounded like they were in front of me, they were the screams of my friends and my brother.

"Save us Rivers!" Phoenix screamed as she started to sob.

"Please!" Leaf and Feather screamed together in unison.

"Help!" It was my brothers voice. I looked around but I couldn't see them but there screams continued without faultier. Then I start screaming.

"Where are you! Triton, Feather, Leaf, Phoenix!" I wanted to collapse on the ground but I was stuck. A loud bang ended there screams and a huge puff of smoke followed. When the smoke cleared up, I saw them, but they were all laying on the ground. Dead. I started to cry over there bodies not able to close my eyes but to only slightly blink.

"Wake up! Wake up Rivers!" I opened my eyes and kneeling next to me was Triton. I guess I didn't lock me door but I didn't care.

"Triton... I-I-I'm so sorry!" I started weeping again. He got up, sat on my bed and embraced me.

"What are you sorry for? You didn't do anything."

"Exactly," I wasn't crying any more, but I was sobbing loudly. We sat there for a long time in silence until Triton was half asleep. I got up and led him back into his room. I got him into his bed. "Rest. Tomorrow's a big day."

When I returned to my room, I fell asleep to and this time, there were no nightmares.
