"Haaah.... haaah..." Ruby panted as he weakly hit the steel wall right on the groove in the middle.

"Of course you came up with the genius idea of leaving our pokemon at the pokemon centre before getting trapped in the ABOMINABLE - THING! AARRRGH!" Sapphire raged and smashed her foot against the elevator, not caring about her feet at all.

"Sapph.... I'm dying..." said Ruby, half-closing his eyes and slumping to the floor, groaning.

"Of course! We're trapped in a Arceus-damned elevator on a 120 degree Fahrenheit day, prissy boy!" retorted Sapphire, kicking the wall this time.

"Sapphire... don't do that.... to your f-foot" Ruby spat out, and Sapphire stared at her bitter rival, wondering why he was worried about her. She forced her gaze into his mesmerising brilliant red eyes, a light pink dusting her cheeks, and saw concern and worry. For a rival? Sapphire was confused.

"Since when did you care, prissy boy?" she spat at him, smashing random buttons and then finally cooling down.

"I-I really... don't know, Sapph." Sapphire felt the atmosphere change from angry to a heart-to-heart moment.

"Good point... why do I care... just do you have water" said Ruby, and Sapphire pouted a tiny bit as she literally heard the atmosphere go "SNAP!".

Ruby looked at the ground, slightly embarrassed at how close the elevator forced them to be and his weak state. He could just lean forward and kiss Sapphire, if it was even possible without getting killed in a 10 metre cubed area by a raging Sapphire. And if he could do that without shrivelling up because of dehydration.

Unbeknown to the pair, the elevator was in perfect order. N sat there, continuosly making sure the 1st out of 2 elevators was never called upon and never moved from where it was in the dorm building, but the camera was still on.

"So, Blue? Take a look. All you want. Let your shippings come true." said N, not taking his eyes of his computer screen.

Blue looked at the two. "Get a move on, Sapph! I know you like him!" thought Blue, looking at Sapphire angrily gesture at Ruby.

"Sapphire, why are you... so angry.." Ruby closed his eyes, and a peaceful look went over his face. Sapphire blushed as Ruby collapsed on her shoulder, a spark of electricity passing through her.

Blue giggled giddily.

"Kihihi! This will be fun!" said Blue, as N chuckled and shook his head at Blue's antics.

"W-Woah prissy boy! G-g-get off!" Sapphire pushed Ruby off, and Ruby revived.

"Y-you're red.... are you sick too..." Ruby started mumbling incoherently.

"OMG, Ruby! Are you dehydrated?!?!??!?" Sapphire just thought he was claustrophobic.

"Y-yes.... wild girl." Sapphire went even more red at the nickname which had grown to be endearing.

Ruby gladly took the water from Sapphire and drank.

"Thanks Sapphire!" He breathed heavily. "That was good!"

"Yeah, now I can't drink from it cos you drank it!" said Sapphire.

"So? Since when did you care?" replied Ruby.

"U-Uhhhhh... since about, I don't know..." The truth was, Sapphire thought it would be like... well.. an indirect kiss.

"Ahhhh!!!" Sapphire mentally screamed as her brain flicked to an image of her and Ruby kissing. She immediately went bright red again, and Red chuckled.

"So Sapphire, why do we hate each other?" Ruby felt something click in his brain..... maybe it was the time spent alone with Sapphire that allowed him to think of it. She was pretty cute...

"You contest, I battle. You make ridiculous outfits like this one, I wear a bandana. What else?" she said.

"That's stupid! The surface doesn't count!" said Ruby, realising how stupid he had been, how prejudicial, with Sapphire. Just because he liked dressing up and hated battling and she was a wild girl, he had shunned his feelings, the feelings he just realised he had and portrayed themselves well on his bright red cheeks.

"W-why do you treat my a-as a barbarian, then..." Sapphire started crying, thinking about how terrible her relationship with her frenemy was. She has a crush on him and all she did was annoy him!

Blue slowly started hyperventilating as she felt the atmosphere click.

"Y-you're not barbaric... I don't know why I said that." he said, wiping off Sapphire's tears. He felt a spark of chemistry pass through the air, and he knew it. These feelings were real.

Sapphire immediately straightened, shocked at Ruby's choice of words. She couldn't believe her ears. She had a chance? No way. But at least he didn't hate her... she felt Ruby's thumb against her face, and she hyperventilated a little herself. Her face was as red as she felt how soft and gentle Ruby as being, and how much he cared. She never knew...

"Maybe... my brain tried to hide something." he continued, now crying a little himself. Why did he deny it for so long?

"I-I... I LIKE YOU SAPPHIRE!"

Blue passed out some 5 stories above them with a large thump.

Sapphire squealed in a girly way, completely unlike her, and Ruby was shocked to hear the girlish sound emit from the tomboy. Ruby felt his heart thundering as Sapphire fell silent.

Sapphire felt a swirling mess of emotions pad through her... disbelief, lust, and denial. How, when, it was all a mystery, but she knew that she was head over heels for Ruby.

"Me too..." Sapphire mumbled, radiating an unbelievable amount of heat just from the flusteration. She pushed herself forward to kiss, and Sapphire sighed lightly at the easy touch of their lips, not too passionate but not empty. It felt so good to kiss Ruby, and his red face was so adorable. It was amazing to recognise her true feelings and express them.

"OMA OMA OMA NO WAY! YOU CAN LET THEM UP NOW" screamed Blue, nearly deafing N.

Ruby and Sapphire jolted as the lift abruptly started up again. It was a bit too presice....

"Hey, Sapphy, was that camera always on... even when the lift was 'off'?"

"Why, yes... that's weird" replied Sapphire.

It then clicked. Both their thoughts and the elevator door.

They rushed out, red-faced due to embarrassment and anger.

"BLUEEEE!" They yelled in sync.

"Welp, better run!" Said Blue to N, ans she took off. N simply sat in the corner of the computer room and laughed.

Blue felt pain. A lot.
Of course Sapphire had to be able to use Blast Burn to torture her, leaving her with many burns, mentally and physically, and a shell-shocked mind.
