One-Shot 1 (Franticshipping)

This is based of a pic I saw recently. Don't worry, other shippers, the ships will sail soon XD. BTW this is by far the most cringe and shortest one-shot I've ever thought of so yeah.

EDIT: PLEASE READ ABOUT 7 CHAPTERS AHEAD, THESE FIRST ONES ARE CRINGE GALORE.

Ruby exhaled, and inhaled. Exhaled, inhaled, all while carefully watching Sapph play with her Skitty. He often wondered why the wild girl decided to take the epitome of cuteness (in his point of view) onto her team, but then again, he wore a hat that looked like hair, so it wasn't sooo weird. 

He watched as Skitty and Sapphire touched foreheads, and burst out laughing over god knows what.

So anyway, something kinda snapped. 

Not in a bad way, but he realised a way to confess his feelings. In an easy way.

Ruby always liked shortcuts. 

"Hey Sapphire, can you smell that blueberry ice-cream we ate on my nose?" he asked.

"Hmm? I can't seem to." she responded, and moved a little closer, dropping Skitty. His heart rate climbed a little as he realised that his seemingly transparent plan was working. Then again, Sapphire was never the pointiest pencil in the pencilcase.

He watched as the girl came a little closer. It was a bad moment to notice how cute she was, but he did. Especially with the whole bandanna thing going on, and the hair too... and he always liked blue eyes.

"Try coming a little closer." Ruby said. His cheeks burned up a bit as he realised how close Sapphire really was. Only a few centimetres away, really.

"Huh.... I can... just smell a bi-" Sapphire stared but was cut off.

Because Ruby grabbed the back of her neck and pushed her lips towards his, completing a moment he has long dreamed of.

"I love you, Sapphire." he simply mumbled.

"Ehh.... Um..." Sapphire dropped eye contact, but it was obvious she was so red that she matched the colour of Ruby's jacket.

"RUBY! WHAT WAS THAT FOR!" Sapphire yelled, but Ruby could see she was blushing and averting her eyes.

"You enjoyed that~" He said, getting ready to be killed by a deadly Sapphire.

Then Sapphire did something he never expected.

She backed down, dropped her gaze and stared at the ground. "I guess..." she murmured, and Ruby's heart soared.

He had to be the luckiest man alive. Ever.

He pulled her into another kiss, and barely managed to kiss her, he was smiling so much.
