My Royal Romance...

...The diary...

I woke up feeling happy ... but it's quite ironic because the guy I love is marrying someone else ... but I don't know.. I just have a feeling .. everything is going to be just fine...
After the engagement yesterday we all went up to our rooms and spent the rest of the day there... today we resume with the competition.. my life here at the palace felt so normal and I had a routine .. it almost felt like home..
After a bath Alison and Sophie did my hair and I did my make up ... I picked a dress and a nice pair of heels.. aah.. I finally got rid of that awful cast around my leg .. and it really felt good to wear pretty shoes again ..

Once I was done getting ready I walked down with Brianna , Linda , Amanda , Melissa and Joan ... once we walked into the ballroom Rachel told us that today we would spend the whole morning in the Library researching and learning more about the Royal family and the history of Cornelia ...
All of us walked into the Library and picked up a book each ... I picked up a book titled "The Beginning : Nicholas and Jessica" written by George Raelin....
The whole book was about how Nicholas and Jessica became King and Queen .. pretty much the what Nathan told me.. but here is what I found interesting... it also spoke about a man named James Scott ... he was Prince Nicholas's best friend and their families were really close.. Nathan never told me about them and nor did I hear about it anywhere else.. so I rummaged through the whole library till I found a book that would help me learn more about the Scotts .. right at the back of the very last shelf I found a bag... me being curious I opened the bag and inside I found a diary .. it had the initials J.S carved on it in gold writing .. but it was locked ... I looked inside the bag to see if there was a key .. but it was empty ... I looked around the shelf to see if it was there but no...
"Girls ! That's enough for today please head upstairs and change .. you will be dining with the royal family for lunch today" Rachel called out ...before anyone could look I put the book back in the bag and hid it right at the back of the shelf ... I joined the rest of the girls and went up to my room and changed into something more appropriate..

We headed downstairs and saw the rest of the family sitting once we curtsied we too sat down and began to eat... I wasn't really feeling hungry.. all I could think about was that diary .. I didn't know if it was Queen Jessica's since her initials are J.S or if it was James Scott's ... I think Tom picked up on my behaviour and alerted the other boys and now all the boys were staring at me including Nathan.. I decided to excuse myself and I started walking towards my bedroom... "Juliet ! Wait up !!.." .. I turned around and I saw Liam standing there ... "hey .. can we all talk ? .. meet us in Nathan's room at 9:00..." he said and walked back into the dining room...
   As I was walking by... I saw the Library and I couldn't resist the urge to walk in .. and so I did .. i picked up the Diary and went up to my room ... I changed into some comfy clothes ..

I picked up the bag with the diary and walked up to Nathan's room .. I knocked on the door and Liam opened it .. "hey !" I said .. I walked in and saw Tom , Liam , Matt and Nathan sitting on the bed .. and Nathan looked at me and came over and hugged me so tight .. I almost couldn't breathe...I smiled and hugged him back .. it felt good .. Nathan noticed the bag in my hand and raised an eyebrow... "look I know you guys wanted to talk to me .. and I have something to tell you too.. so you first !" I said and looked at all the boys .. the all took a breathe and started talking .. "so I know this seems weird .. first Nathan was really into and you guys were flirting and before you could turn that into a relationship he got engaged ... and the reason is ..." Liam said .. "I know .. they both were promised to each other when they were really young .." I replied... "well... not really...the story is quite different actually .. " Matt said looking over at Tom.. "well it started of.. with King Nicholas and his friend ... even after them .. the families have remained really close for the past three generations... but the Royal family has been and is being threatened by them far the past 18 years ... so Scarlet is their daughter and the only thing we can do to keep Cornelia safe is to let Scarlet marry Nathan..otherwise they plan on attacking Cornelia.." Tom said... "apparently they are the rightful rulers of Cornelia and they claim to be cheated by King Nicholas...but we don't know if it's true .." Nathan said looking at me ..
   Wow .. that's intense ... "so.. that's it .. you have to marry Scarlet .." I said looking at Nathan.. he hung his head low.. "well.. not exactly .. " Liam said .. both Nathan and I looked at him with hope .. "if we find a loophole in their deal Nathan won't have to marry Scarlet.." Liam said smiling .. oh my god yes ! Of course !... "great !! Where do we start ?" Nathan asked excitedly... "we will have to find some records or the contract or some kind of paperwork.." Tom said looking the other boys ... they all nodded and decided to start looking for them first thing in morning ..
   "What did you want to tell us ?" Asked Matt .. "oh.. nothing it can wait .." I said smiling at them ... nothing seemed to matter anymore.. there was hope for Nathan .. honestly all this time I kept fantasising about how Nathan and I are meant to be .. but honestly before the engagement.. What were we ? We weren't together for sure .. but we were friends .. but ... I know I like him more than that .. but does he ? Or is he just a flirt ?...
