The next morning I woke up early and started to get ready .. today was a big day , I would get a taste of what the Royal duties are like. I picked a dress with longer sleeves to cover up the bruise but I put some concealer to cover it just in case ..

"Hey Juliet .. Sophie let me in on their way out .. how is your arm ?".. a familiar voice said .. "it's alright .." I said with a smile .. he smiled back .. "Juliet .. before you leave for the competition I need the diary .. Matt , Liam , Tom and I will start working on it and you can join us once you are done.. we will be in the library" Nathan said .. I nodded in agreement and quickly went to the cupboard and got the diary and gave it to him.. he thanked and me and started walking out .. "oh !.. one more thing" he said turning around near the door looking at me .. "yes ?" I asked with a smile .. "you look beautiful" he said and walked out .. I let go of my breath that I didn't know I was holding .. I joined the other girls and we made our to the throne room. "Hello ladies !.. today each of you will join me for an hour while I attend to my Royal duties.. You will be assessed and two girls will be eliminated at the end ..Juliet .. you will accompany me first and then Rachel will inform the the next.. good luck girls and I wish all the very best" we all thanked the Queen and curtsied .. I'm so glad I get to go first the sooner I finish this the sooner I get to go look at the diary.. "Now Juliet .. you will join me in the throne room where we will attend to the people's problems .. " the Queen said and I nodded .. I stood next to her throne while she heard each persons problems .. then a very familiar face walked in .. it was Martha !.. what was she doing here ?..I thought everything was going well since our presentation .. I had given my money to her .. "hello dear what's your name ?" The Queen asked with smile .. "my name is Martha your majesty .." Martha said curtsying .. "hello Martha .. how can I help you ?" .. the Queen asked .."your majesty .. I'm a foster mother .. I feed and care for as many children as I can. Juliet .. used to volunteer and teach music to the children everyday that was till she joined the competition .. and then she also helped me when she donated the 1000 pounds .. but your majesty I was robbed .. and all our money is gone and I can no longer help the children.." Martha said very sadly .. I can't believe this .. she was doing such a good thing and why would something so dreadful happen to her ?.. out of instinct I went and gave Martha a hug .. "I'm so sorry Martha .. I will do whatever I can to help you .." I said still hugging her .. "thank you dear .. you have already done so much .. I hope you get everything you ever wished for" she said smiling at me ... it was only then that I realised the the whole throne room was watching me and I didn't let the Queen speak .. I turned around slowly .. " I'm so sorry your majesty .. but I just had to.." I said .. she smiled and said "that's alright dear you don't have to apologise .. your sincerity is very touching .. I would like you to take ownership of this and I will fund you .. you may speak to me about your ideas and together we can help Martha and the children .. for now .. we can offer you a 500 pounds and soon Juliet can help you more" the Queen said smiling at me and then at Martha .. "thank you so much your majesty" Martha said and just before she left I went and gave her a quick when I returned I thanked the Queen and continued with the competition .. throughout the task I interacted a little with the people and in some cases the Queen asked for my suggestions .. overall I think it went pretty well .. once I was done I quickly went up and changed into something more comfortable .

Once I got changed I texted Nathan .
J - Hey ! I'm done .. N - Oh great !.. meet me outside the library and I will get you in. 😊 J - okay great .
I went down to the library and Nathan was already there .. "hello ! How did it go ?" He asked .. "it went really well actually but remember I used to volunteer at a foster house ?..well Martha got robbed and all her money is gone.. .. but your mother put me in charge of helping her!!!" I said with smile .. "that's so sad .. she is very lucky to have you" he said taking me had and squeezing it a bit .. I smiled back at him and we walked inside the the library headed into the "secret chamber" .. "hey guys ! .. found anything ?" I asked .. "not really so far it's just about her childhood and how she met King Nicholas ..oh and one more thing she mentioned this guy James .. do you know anything about that ? .. you've been reading up on Cornelia's history right ?.. did that name pop up anywhere ?" Matt asked.. "yeah .. uh.. James Scott !" Nathan and I both said in unison .. "yeah of course ! Why didn't I think of that !?" Nathan said.. "he was King Nicholas's best friend .." Nathan finished .. "but what does it say about him ?" I asked .. "as of now not much .. it just speaks about him accompanying them to events and stuff " Tom said .. "oh alright .. " I said .. "so what do you guys wanna do now ?" Liam asked .. "I have some books on Cornelia's history in my room .. I can get them down .. maybe we can browse through those" Nathan said and went out to get them.. when he came back he had about 14 books stacked up and we couldn't even see his face .. we spent the new next few hours browsing through the books but we couldn't find much information about him .. but he was from the same neighbouring kingdom as Scarlet .. then it suddenly dawned on me !.. "guys ! Scarlet and Jason are Scotts !" I said .. "yeah so ?.." Tom asked .. "there must be some connection between the Scotts and James SCOTT !!!.. they are from the same Kingdom" I said "right !.. why didn't we think of that !" Liam said .. "and that would give them a reason to want the diary .. maybe there is something about the Scotts in there !" Nathan said .. "exactly !" I replied .. we were all so excited that we made progress we all decided to take a break and get some lunch .. i offered to make lunch and the boys were more than happy .. we all headed to the kitchen and I started to make pizza .. Tom and Matt started kneading the dough and I started making the sauce .. Nathan and Liam offered to cut the vegetables and the meat .. I put the pizza in to bake and started of on the dessert .. I decided to make some double chocolate chip cookies .. at the end I made s'mores out of those .. we all sat down and started eating .. "wow !.. this pizza is delicious !!.." Tom said stuffing his face .. "Juliet .. no but honestly this is amazing !" Nathan said stuffing his face too .. "thank you but I can't take all the credit .. it was a team effort" I said smiling at all of them .. the dessert was over within seconds !.. "nope .. definitely not a team effort !.. those s'mores were delicious !!" Matt said .. and all the other boys chimed in in agreement .. I laughed and asked the boys if they would help me clear up .. once we were done we just sat down and started chatting !.. "it's so nice that you cleared the table even though you have servants for it..it's really nice !".. Tom said .. and all the boys nodded ... I smiled and said " well I'm not a Royal , I don't govern , I don't fight or protect them .. so why should they have to serve me ?.." I said .. "touché" Nathan said and we all smiled at each other .. We spent an hour chatting and talking about James Scott and what other connections we could find between him , the Scotts and the late King and Queen..
