The ding of the bell broke my focus on my book for only a moment, but I quickly regained it and turned the page.

I felt someone's gaze on me as I read, but I brushed it off as just a random guy and kept reading. A man started talking in the background but it only came out as random blurbs of words due to my lack of focus on his conversation. As I turned the page, by concentration was broken again, only to hear one single echoing word.

"Philip."

I nearly dropped my book in shock.

Philip? He couldn't be here? Right? He's still in school.

I think.

Then again Philip is a common name. It could be just a random guy.

I turned back to my book, but my mind still lingered on the name.

But what if it is him? My mind talked on its own. Or was it my heart?

Okay, all the Shakespeare I'm reading is starting to get to me.

I went back to the book, again, but decided to eavesdrop on the conversation. Just in case.

"Who's that girl over there?" One boy, a teen most likely, asked.

"Oh her? That's (Y/N) Washington. She always shows up here. I'm surprised you didn't recognize her." The other man, supposedly Henry the cafe owner, replied.

"Honestly? Me too."

I buried my nose further into my book as I felt another stare on me. Footsteps started approaching steadily, and I composed myself. The teen was probably going to come over, introduce himself, and offer to take my hand in marriage. I've been through it enough to know the drill.

I barely was glancing over the words, trying to look busy and uninterested to try to get the boy to give up now, only he didn't.

"Well, if it isn't (Y/N) Washington. What brings you down to these parts of town?" The teen remarked with a confidence that almost made me giggle. I sighed and closed my book, still not looking up at him.

"Careful, your ego may outshine the moon. What do you-" I looked up at the boy and my breath caught in my throat.

He wore a grey-silver suit that showed off his form wonderfully, his hair was extremely curly and all over the place, a confident yet nervous smirk was on his lips, and surrounding them, as well as his whole face- were thousands of freckles. His eyes searched mine with a gleam of joy and hope, and they looked so familiar.

"I-" I stuttered. He shuffled a little on his heels. I stood up slowly and got closer to him, examining his face and scouring my brain for any recollection of him.

My brain found a memory of me and a little boy playing on his bed; the dragon and the knight, giggling like maniacs.

I finally put together the dots as his smirk faded.

"Philip?" His smile returned in an instant.

"Hey (Y/N)." He beamed.

"Oh my god! It's you!" I leaped into his arms, engulfing him in a hug that was way over due.

"You're... you're actually here! This is amazing!" He laughed and squeezed my smaller frame, snuggling his face into the crook of my neck. The gesture made a blush creep up my face, but I was too happy to notice it.
