youngmin cursed under his breath. he looked up at the clock that was hanging on his dorm wall.

he was late for his first lecture for the day. he looked over at his roommate's bed. empty. he felt betrayed because his roommate didnt even bother waking him up for classes.

not giving a shit or two about his appearance, he grabs the nearest hoodie he had, put on his cap and ran straight to the door.

"where were you?!" seongwoo whispers as youngmin came running into the lecture hall. in between running and panting heavily, he manages to bow to the lecturer and everyone else for interrupting.

"that japanese kid didnt wake me up!! when i woke up, he was already gone," youngmin explains, annoyed.

"arent kenta's classes earlier than yours?"

"it is? well... it still wouldve been nice if he woke me up too,"

"sure youngmin... whatever you say," seongwoo continues jotting down notes. "oh by the way, youre coming to this tomorrow's practice right?"

"gosh, can you not remind me?" youngmin slumps back into his chair.

"you better be prepared, i heard minji is joining the company."

"minji??? as in, kwon minji??" seongwoo nods. "HOW?!?"

"i personally dont know.. but i heard that she has some connections with rhymer-saem sooo.. thats that."

youngmin sighs even more heavily. everyone in campus would know that whatever minji related is definitely a bad sign.

"can we not eat here for once? gosh daniel," kenta whines. they were at oppa-dok, a known fried chicken joint that daniel loveslovesloves to go to whenever he has the chance.

"oh come on, he hasnt had this for a month now eversince he went on that diet," seongwoo defends daniel and the both of them fist bump each other.

"okay fine," kenta finally gave in, "but only if hes treating." daniel nods and gives him a wink, making his eyes lit up at the sudden agreement to daniel paying the bill tonight.

the four boys were all having fun, talking to each other and gossiping about the latest news that has been circulating around campus and their company.

"i cant believe he didnt think minji would actually join our company. i bet she told rhymer-saem that shed invest in the company if he let her join,"

"what i cant believe is that rhymer-saem would actually accept her... but i guess seeing how much work the studios need, he probably wanted the money so that he could upgrade the facilities..." youngmin added.

"rhymer-saem only wants the best for us and the company, though i dont think i can stand having minji around. everyone would be down to theur knees for her, that bitch-" seongwoo steps on kenta's foot all of a sudden.

"what the-" kenta grimaced in pain.

everyone looked over to the entrance of the restaurant.

"kwon minji..."

she walked in with her group of friends; actually, they were more like slaves. she headed over to the empty table next to youngmin and his friends.

oh what luck...

"oh daniel! its been a while since we last talked!" kenta immediately rolled his eyes. daniel got up and greeted minji, hugging her as well. you can say that daniel is close to minji, having known each other since high school.

"what are you doing here?" daniel asks out of kindness.

"im here to eat to my friends! we heard you rave about this place so we decides to drop by," she smiled, "besides, im going on a strict diet starting tomorrow since im joining the Brand New Dance Company!"

"ohh.. alright! i guess we'll see you tomorrow then?" daniel says. youngmin's, seongwoo's and kenta's facial expression clearly showed how annoyed they were. daniel nudged seongwoo, signalling him to smile; and he did.

"yah, i guess we'll see you there."

"sure, whatever," kenta says. youngmin only nodded and smiled.

"see you tomorrow youngmin!" and minji was off. lucky for the boys, they had already finished their meal and so they scrambled out of the restaurant after daniel paid the bill.

"dude... she literally acknowledged you," seongwoo pointed out. "i mean, not that i care but it wouldve been nice if she greeted us too."

"precisely?? hey, do you think shes interested in you-" youngmin flicks kenta's head. "yahyah! why am i the only one whos being abused today!?"

"dont even think of it."

"who knows... i heard rumours that minji's target has changed. its not longer minhyun soooo..." kenta's and seongwoo's teasing starts, poking youngmin with multiple OoOOoOos echoing the almost empty street.

"why am i literally the most unlucky person... god, why!"
