Ana wakes up covered in cold sweat and Jacob holding her tight. "It's alright Ana, you're safe. That bastard's dead, I saw his body." It takes some time for Jacob's words to make it through Ana's terror but when they do she looks over at her body guard in curiosity.

"How'd you manage that, Jacob?" She hadn't even heard about his death.

"Damon wanted a positive ID on the body and so had me pose as a brother to make sure. The idiots never even questioned it." Jacob reassures her as he calms her trembling body.

"Damon," Ana spits out before trying to get out of the bed. She has to push harder than she thought she'd have to, to get free of Jacob. Finally Jacob gives her, her freedom.

"Ana, what happened between you and Damon?" Damon had been coldly furious when he left the house. Everyone had stayed away from him if they could. Tony looked more than relieved that he wasn't required to accompany Damon.

"I told him the truth about Jenny. He didn't believe me. He's planning on taking her with him to Paris. I told him to enjoy prison when he gets back. He didn't like it." Ana says as she grabs clean clothes and heads into the bathroom. She needs to get the stink of fear off of her. She can't believe that Scott still has this effect on her.

Jacob follows her to the bathroom and Ana doesn't even bother hiding herself as she strips out of her sweat soaked clothes. She knows Jacob isn't interested in her like that. "Does he know that she's threatened you?"

"He didn't believe me when I told him her real age, why the hell would he believe me if I told him that she threatened me? Besides it doesn't matter, I'll deal with her when the time comes. I honestly don't see what you and Damon see in that bitch."

Jacob laughs, "Tits, Ana. She's got big ones that are real and not fake. Her daddy may be the mayor, and I suspect Damon is as much attracted to that as he is her tits."

Jacob turns serious, "You know Damon is using her for her father's political influence more than anything else right?"

Ana turns to him before stepping into the shower, "It doesn't matter. When I'm done he'll be turning her over to me himself. Then, Jacob, you'll be getting the bonus you deserve. It may take me awhile, but I promise you, I will give her to you, for a little while at least."

Jacob stares at Ana. She's not his employer, but that was a promise of an employer to employee. Just what the hell was Ana planning? He shrugs to himself, it doesn't really matter. As long as the bitch is under Damon's protection neither he nor Ana will be touching her.

But her words, Damon will turn her over himself, makes him shiver. He doesn't ever want to see those two at odds. He's not sure who'd win, or if there could be a winner.

"You look like shit, Ana," Trinity says the next morning.

"Good morning to you too. I always look like this when I don't sleep. Won't that bitch Jezey just love this. I'm not sure I'll be able to keep my cool with her today." Ana confesses as they get into their car that takes them to school.

"I might be able to help you with that, boss," Trinity says as they park in the high school parking lot.

"Oh? How do you plan to do that?" Ana asks looking at him. She hadn't been paying attention to the people around her. That's Jacob's and Trinity's job, although, she usually does as well.

"By doing this," Trinity says smiling before pulling her closer and giving her a kiss. Ana's a bit shocked at first but then decides to go with it.

When Trinity breaks it off, "Sorry I wasn't there last night. Tonight you should be able to sleep." He gently puts her hair back from her face and hooks it behind her ear.

"I'm not sure you will be able to do any better than Jacob." Ana whispers, "You know you just kissed a middle schooler?"

Trinity snorts, "You may be one by age, but in no other respect do you relate to those kids. You're fucking hot, remember? There have been bets going on within my peer group as to who is going to bang you first."

Ana smirks, "So you were just doing that to lay claim to me?"

Trinity's smirk fell, "Hell no, you'd gut me just like you did my father if I tried anything like that. No, that little display was to annoy the hell out of the bitch that's been tormenting you. She's right behind you and shooting sparks. If looks could kill you'd be dead with a thousand daggers protruding from you. But I have to say," Trinity leans down for another kiss, "You're a damn fine kisser."

Ana smiles at him with real warmth as he says those words. "You're not so bad yourself. You sure you're not going to take crap for kissing someone so young?"

"Oh, hell yeah, but it will be from jealousy that I stole the march on them. I'll see you after school boss. Don't let that bitch ruin your day." Trinity lets out a chuckle, "You better go help Jacob. He's having a hard time keeping the bitch back."

Ana finds herself smiling for the first time since Damon told her he was going to Paris. The thought kills her smile. There is only one reason he'd need to be gone that long. He's taking his so called girlfriend sight seeing.

"What, Damon isn't enough for you? You have to be fucking Trinity as well?" Jezey's words make the last of her cool and calm disappear. But strangely she's not hot, she's coldly angry.

"One of these days, Jezebel, you are going to understand that you're nothing without your father. Damon and I aren't sleeping together. That's what you want to do with him. He's just my guardian. He has a girlfriend that he brings over on a regular basis. He keeps her there for hours so I'm assuming they aren't just talking. But if you want even the slightest chance at getting a marriage alliance with him, you really shouldn't be such a bitch to me. You really are stupid." Ana says and walks away, leaving an open mouthed Jezey behind.

Jacob chuckles, "I thought I was going to have to fight her today. You're in fine form, Ana. Usually you're not so calm."

"Oh, I'm still mad as hell at that ass hat Damon, but there's no way in hell I'll let that bitch know that." Ana says and the way she's holding her body Jacob can tell she's ready to fight.

"What she said about Trinity though, I didn't know you two were like that?"

"We aren't. Trinity thought he'd help me out. That and I think he wants to win the betting pool they have going." Ana allows some of the anger she feels leak out of her at this.

"You don't mind that the high school kids are making a pool about you?" Jacob asks shocked to his core.

"Jacob, you know what my nightmares are about. Compared to Scott, I can handle anything here. Besides you and Trinity I have my knife, I never leave home without it."

This is news to Jacob. He's never seen the knife, but he's seen her do knife work. He'd hate to be the one to try to disarm her. They'd have to get lucky, very lucky to do so. Jackson has taught her very well, as has Shawn. Thoughts of her other training makes him shudder. He still remembers the shouting matches Damon and Ana had over that. It takes a lot to overcome the insulation Damon had put in to make the rooms soundproof, and those two had been yelling at the top of their voices.

"What is it, Jacob?" Ana's voice brings him out of the past and to the present.

"I was just remembering when you and Damon fought about you learning how to torture people. I still don't understand how you got him to agree to that."

Ana looks sad, "It doesn't matter any more. Once he gets back, I'll be leaving to live at the Hawk headquarters. You'll be free of me, just like you always wanted. I'll be doing home schooling then, so you won't even have to see me."

Ana's words act like an invisible wall,  Jacob stops dead in his tracks. "What?" He is barely able to get the word out.

"It's clear I've over stayed my welcome at Damon's home. He doesn't trust or believe me anymore, and since the men would prefer me gone, I'll make it easier for everyone. It will be easier for my men to take care of me there anyway." Ana shrugs and keeps walking. Leaving behind a stunned and shaken Jacob.

She doesn't see him take out his phone and make a call. She wouldn't have cared even if she had. She is too focused on trying to deal with the pain of leaving Damon.
