Damon comes into the room where Ana is dancing and notices that Trinity is there absorbed in her movements. He clenches his teeth and nicely tells Trinity to leave.
Trinity knows that Damon doesn't have the power to send him off, but he doesn't want to cause more problems between the two. He hadn't missed the tears that Ana tried to hide from him earlier. He takes one last look at Ana then slips out of the room. He has a bunch of homework to do anyways.
Damon waits for the music to end then claps at Ana's performance.
Ana had just gotten relaxed from the dancing, but Damon's clapping makes her tense up all over again. "Damon," she says as she grabs her towel and wipes off the sweat. She'd been dancing for some time now. She takes a look at the time. Calum and Trina should already be at the airport getting ready for their flight.
"You're only getting better with time, Ana," Damon says coming forward.
"You send Trinity out?" Ana asks Damon flat out. She doesn't believe that Trinity would have left otherwise.
"Yes, he's more than a little infatuated with you Ana. You should do more to discourage that." Damon says trying to keep his temper. He doesn't like how Trinity looks at Ana. She's his and he doesn't feel like sharing.
"It comes in useful at times, but it's nothing serious. He likes to play around, just like you." Ana sets her towel down once more, "What's the real reason you came in here?"
"I want to apologize for my words in my study earlier. I sent the tickets to Calum and all the other information that he'd need. Thank you for trusting him with this." Damon wants to go up to her, but still isn't sure of his welcome.
"I don't, you do. He's less of a target and Trina deserves to get a honeymoon." Ana gets down from the stand she dances on and brushes by Damon.
Damon grabs her arm as she goes by, "Forgive me?"
Ana looks at his hand then up to him, "Just what are you asking forgiveness for?"
Damon hates it when she does this. His mouth thins down in annoyance, but he answers her, "For being such an ass earlier. I was being rude and snide when you were just acting as you should. I have a hard time remembering at times, that you are Hawk and not just Ana."
Ana pulls her arm out of Damon's hand, "Well the sooner you can manage to remember that the better it will be for all of us." Ana angrily wipes the tears that spill from her eyes.
"Come to dinner with me?" Damon asks diffidently since Ana didn't just leave.
Ana looks at him, "Are you asking your ward or Hawk?"
"I'd rather go with my ward, but I'll take Hawk if that's the only way I can get you to go with me."
"I don't know, Damon, it might be better to back off for awhile." Ana says hesitantly, but she doesn't really want to do that.
Damon sighs, "I've messed things up again, I know. Please, Ana, let me try to make things right again. Just you and me, no need to take our body guards this time."
Ana lifts one of her eyebrows up in surprise. Damon hasn't offered to do that since never. Even the meal where they picked up Jackson and his family, Tony had been there.
"Just you and me, no driver or body guards?"
Damon nods, "It's not the safest thing for us to do, but for tonight it'll just be you and me."
Ana looks at him suspiciously, "If I accept this you'll not accept any phone calls from females, especially not Jenny."
"I've already blocked her number, Ana. I won't be talking to her or any other females. You can decide on where, but if you wish somewhere fancy I'll need to make reservations." Damon holds his breath, this is a big risk he's willing to take to make things right with Ana.
"It's too late for reservations. I'll get ready, we'll go somewhere relaxed." Ana says and then leave to go shower and get ready.
"Ana, you shouldn't go without a bodyguard," Trinity says when he sees them preparing to leave.
"You have the rest of the night off, Trinity. You should contact your girlfriend, perhaps invite her over." Ana says in irritation at his interference.
"I don't have a girlfriend," Trinity says in irritation.
Ana raises her eyebrow up, "Oh, then it was just a one night stand you had over last night? My bad. We won't be too long since I still have all that stupid homework. Call your bed friend and have fun." Ana finishes up in irritation, but now at the homework. It's like the teachers make a game of who gives out more homework.
"Should we do this another night?" Damon asks uncertainly now.
Ana turns her back on Trinity and faces Damon, "No, it won't make a difference. Most of it is reading homework. I just have to skim through it. The math I already completed. But we do need to get moving."
Damon hides the smile he feels at Ana's handling of Trinity and her irritation. He allows her to lead him out of the house and he opens the door to his car for her.
Ana raises her eyebrow at the car. "Your taste in cars has gotten rather plebeian, Damon."
Damon smirks at her words. This latest car of his isn't the fancy one that he generally uses for the eye candy he takes out. "This one may not look like much, but I've had it made specially. It is actually far better than any of my so called exotic cars. This one is completely bullet proof, among other things." Damon gestures for her to get in and once she's in shuts it before going to the other side and opening the drivers side.
Before he starts the car he looks over at Ana, "Thank you for coming tonight Ana."
"I almost didn't. You promised you would never hurt me, yet that's what you've done for the last few days." Ana says then closes her eyes sinking into the soft leather seats.
"I'm sorry. I'll never invite Jenny here again." Damon promises as he starts the car. Ana just smiles, and if Damon had seen it he would have been far more worried than he was.
