When Ana walks in the door she is surprised to find both Damon and Calum waiting for her. She looks at Damon coolly before ignoring him and turning her attention to Calum, "Why are you here?"
"I got a phone call from Jacob telling me that you are planning on leaving the security of Damon's home to come to Hawk's headquarters." Calum says carefully hiding how he feels about this change.
"So? Are you here to help me pack? I didn't call for you Calum. Your loyalty has always been Phoenix's first and foremost. Now tell me why the hell you are here," Ana is losing her patience with him.
"You may have gained the loyalty of the men, although I'm still not so sure how strong that loyalty is. It's too dangerous for you to move into Hawk's headquarters just yet." Calum is starting to sweat. The look Ana is giving him makes him wonder if he is going to survive this encounter. If he does, he doesn't think Damon will let him live.
Ana scoffs at his words. "From the first you've wanted me away from Damon. The exception was when I threatened to leave when I found out about the slaves. I gave you, and Damon, a second chance. I was nearly killed staying, although I don't blame anyone for that except for whoever planted that explosive device that caused the accident. I've outstayed my welcome here. At least at Hawk's headquarters it will be my own home." Ana pushes past the two men and goes to her room.
Damon stands there white faced. She hadn't even acknowledged his presence.
"Sir," Jacob says going up to Damon and talking quietly gets Damon's attention.
"Do you know what happened?" Damon demands of Jacob.
"Yes, sir. Perhaps it would be better if we talked in private?" Jacob says diffidently.
"Yes, of course," Damon leads both Jacob and Trinity to his office. Calum follows and closes the door when the are all in.
Damon offers seats to the two body guards and they hesitantly sit. Trinity definitely feeling uneasy with the way things are.
"Trinity, if you feel like you are being disloyal to Ana feel free to leave. Ana needs all the people she can get that she feels are loyal." Damon says sighing as he takes his own seat.
Trinity talks softly with Jacob before he hesitantly leaves, "I would stay, but, Ana is in a very fragile state right now."
Damon pierces Jacob with his eyes as Trinity leaves. "What the hell does he mean by that?"
"You know Ana has made you the center of her world. Everything she does she does to please you, unless she has no choice in the matter.
"I'm not entirely sure what happened between you, it's not our business to know, but it has hurt Ana greatly. She had nightmares worse than she's ever had them before. It was so bad that she had to shower and change the sheets on her bed due to the sweat. It did something to her, when you said that you were taking Jenny with you to Paris, that you didn't believe her or trust her when she told you the truth.
"What you didn't know, Sir, is that Jenny has threatened Ana's life directly several times." Jacob watches with an impassive face as his words hit Damon hard.
"I'll kill that bitch," Damon promises and has to unclench his hands from the hold they have on his desk.
"We told her that you would be angry with Jenny if you knew, but she said that if you didn't believe her about Jenny's real age then you wouldn't believe her about the death threats either.
"She has plans for Jenny, so I wouldn't do anything to her if I were you. But of course, it is your choice."
"Is that why she's leaving?" Calum demands of the younger man.
"She's leaving because she says that she's worn out her welcome here. If Damon doesn't trust her anymore than there is no reason to remain and put everyone else in danger. She says that the men still don't trust her fully and it will be easier for her men to protect her at her own headquarters."
"Why didn't you or Trinity come to me about the death threats?" Damon demands of his man sitting in misery before him.
Jacob looks at him like he's crazy, "You ordered me to protect her and follow her orders. She ordered me to not tell you. Trinity is her man and oathed to do as she orders him to. He's begged her to let him tell you, but she refused every time. "
"When it comes to her safety you are to tell me about things like that. I thought you were smart enough to understand that as well." Damon says cruelly since he's beyond angry he's not careful with his words.
"With all due respect sir, I think she had a point. If you didn't believe her about the age of your mistress then there is no way you would have believed that she threatened Ana."
Damon looks at him and doesn't say anything. As he calms down he has to concede that perhaps Ana, and by extension, Jacob have a point. He had been furious with Ana about her attitude with Jenny, now he understands it better.
"When was she planning on leaving?" Damon manages to get the words out. If Jacob hadn't of called Calum then he never would have known about Ana's plans.
"She was waiting for you to get home. So, she is probably packing right now, as is Trinity.
"You will be getting your wish, sir, she going to be enrolling in home school so I won't even be able to keep an eye on her." Jacob turns and looks at Calum, "And as for Calum, she still doesn't trust him so she's not likely to be around him much either for him to report to you.
"I think she'll be taking over many of the duties of Hawk that she's been letting Calum do so that she can send him back sooner rather than later. I wouldn't be surprised if she cuts all contact with you by the end of the year." Jacob ends his report and stays sitting as still as he can on the couch where he'd sat at the beginning of this report.
Calum nods his understanding. He rather thinks that Jacob has read the situation perfectly. He can't say that he won't like returning to Damon's side, but he still doesn't trust Hawk's men around Ana alone.
"If you want Ana to remain you better go talk to her Damon. Tell her why you are here instead of in France." Calum urges Damon to action.
